  1. An important item not mentioned in that link. If your batt is severely discharged or cold, never start a charge at the maximum rate of the charger. Always start at the lowest rate. Observe that the batt is accepting the charge properly before leaving it for the duration of the recharge cycle. You can increase the rate later. I would also strongly rec using a charger with an auto cutoff. +1 on using a charger with an auto cutoff...
  2. The only thing better than an A-Team avatar is a lexus vehicle avatar.
  3. I've had the same made in china HID kits without any issues for over a year now... I turn my lights on whenever I drive... i dunno why i just do.. and I do drive over 100miles 5 days a week.... I guess I've been lucky but I can also refer some decent vendors if you're interested that warranty everything for a year or two.
  4. A year, maybe some mileage would help.... you can always appraise the value of a car on edmunds.com I find it more accurate that kelly blue book kbb.com
  5. I also have the JP curtains and neck pillows... the neck pillows are pretty comfortable for me, but someone said the belezza (spelling?) are softer memory foam. The curtains however are not long enough and when opened over cover about 3/4 of my rear window not including the lil window. They do come in handy though since I didn't want to tint any darker than what i have now...
  6. if only i had a Delorean.... with a flux capacitor... I've used injector cleaner before.. but rarely... usually the chevron of shell brand stuff....
  7. I would use a 5w-30 full synthetic of your choosing, and toyota brand atf-iv for your transmission or the amsoil universal atf fluid... assuming you have an auto transmission... check your owners manual for the spark plug recommendation but its the same engine as the GS300 so I believe its an iridium tipped plug...
  8. thats pretty much how i drive my bone stock corolla when no one is looking. :D I'd hate to be the guy on the segway...
  9. Things like this make me want to stop being lazy and add a transmission cooler to my vehicles... They start looking more appealing everytime I see the price of a transmission job.
  10. I don't think you've done any damage... I don't know why but many toyota dealerships use PS fluid instead of the recommended tranny fluid in the power steering resevoirs so it shouldn't be the end of the world. Flushing it again with the correct fluid won't be a bad idea. I used Mobil1 ATF in my power steering unit on my 02 GS3.
  11. ACDELCO Part # 510835 {#88964040} STRUT,HOOD about $22 each from rockauto.com
  12. The only MAF sensor cleaner that you're likely to find is from CRC. Just be gentle with the MAF its very fragile.
  13. Not sure this posting technique is going to get you the results you're looking for.:whistles: There are a lot of threads on this forum for people to read. If it's of interest, it'll be read, if not then it won't. Just because you post something doesn't mean everyone is going to flock to it because it's you. You're new here. Establish some cred, then you might get some interest. Some posts never get a response. I am thinking about upgrading my 94ls to a 98ls and I need your opinion too. Looks clean... got quite a few miles on it but I'm sure thats not issue with an LS.
  14. Im a fan. I was never big on black wheels either, but I have seen a few examples that are to my taste. I like these. Go for it brotha. What are they running in terms of price. How big are you wanting to go? - i never really liked black wheels as well, but i thought chrome on a silver car would be a bit much. im going to go with 20's...they run around 6k rims, and tires...Asanti's are not cheap Asanti's aren't cheap.. and NY roads don't care! I don't really care for them though at any price... unless they're 3pc and forged... but the style just seems a lil generic to me.
  15. I've used the CRC MAF sensor cleaner before without any issue... but like it was said before MAF sensors are fragile, there also exist the possibility that it was damaged before you cleaned it.
  16. A coupon code for LOC members would be a nice gesture.... :D
  17. are you talking about lag in the throttle response or something else?
  18. I would just stick to whatever the owners manual recommends... I used Toyota ATF-IV in my 2000 v6 solara before assuming that it was the correct fluid and it wasn't... nothing bad happened to the car but the car did seem to shift smoother with the recommend fluid.
  19. I get my sensors from rockauto.com The dealer will just be overpriced for the same product. This write up is for bank 1 sensor two, the only difference is you'll be changing the sensor before the cat. Its pretty easy to change the o2 sensor. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/maintenanc...code-p0141.html
  20. If you do end up with something that looks like this... let me borrow your car sometime.
  21. I'd also take a look at the belt that connects to the alternator... if its slipping due to wear, or if a tensioner is bad it could cause those symptoms...
  22. Don't use Mobil1, I just used it and my car blew up.... seriously.. I'm lying... I've been using mostly Mobil1 over the years. I also use Castrol full synthetic and sometimes amsoil if its available. I find that mobile one burns off less than other oils... on dino oil I'd be adding about a quart every 2000 miles... with Mobil1 I only have to top off about half a quart at 4000miles.. but I usually do change around then since my driving behavior is far from normal.
  23. Hmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder if NYS had blood donor plates... nothing attracts the ladies like a lexus and a license plate that kinda implies that I've got clean blood.
  24. I have tons of cracks... I usually just buy the DIY repair kits that reduce the appearance and stop the cracks from spreading... granted I've never had any usually large damage... anything big and I'd opt for a replacement. Windshield shops charge about $30 to do the job, or you can spend about $10 and do it yourself.
