sounds like the previous owner may have removed the spring that assist in opening the trunk and holding it open... was there a custom speaker box in the trunk before... i say spring but its more like a bar...
I was more interested in the MKIV that was infront of the RX... It would be nice to have a job testing cars out at that track though... or even just being able to have access to a track like that... if I'm ever over there.. I'm so abusing my rental.
So I take it no one has actually used these plugs... or at least know of anyone that used these plugs?
I'm just trying to keep the thread from going too far off on a tangent...
it can be saved.. but "saved" is a relative term...
it really depends how much time and energy you're willing to sink into a car with 189k...
i would take it for $1000... it'd make a fine beater and a nice car to further my mechanical learning on.
no reprogramming required... check the contacts for oxidation... was at working at all with the older battery or did it stop working and a new battery didn't fix the issue?
A friend of mine that works on supras out in AZ heard about this story... it was fatal.

The driver of the Supra is Alexander Ahmad, he was only 24.
I'm sorry to hear about the events that you've had to endure this past year. Most creditors would exhibit some type of understanding of how these situations effect people. I'm shocked the Lexus/Toyota Financial has not done a better job but I'm pretty certain that if you try to work things out with them they can make an adjustment to the mark they put on your credit report.
