  1. Then, how much would you pay for this? Another guy apparently offered $5,000 arguing mileage is too high but the seller turned it down. Also, I didn't know CARFAX had raised prices. I used CARFAX in 2004 or 2005 and I believe the deal was $29.99 for unlimited search for 1 month. Now, it's only 1 for $29.99 and only 5 for $39.99; I guess monopoly (almost) is a sweet thing. Also II, does any Lexus dealer provide the car's history with given VIN number? For free or for a fee? Can this be done via phone and fax/email without actually visiting the dealer? I won't pay more than $5,000 for that car with that miles, if the seller won't sell it then I suggest you go look for another car. And for CARFAX reports, seller should get you that...you shouldn't pay for it.
  2. I had that problem on my gs300 last summer. I took my car to the dealership, and they fixed it without a problem. Something about a connecter is leaking, whatever...
  3. ok, i will try to get one online! hope it works
  4. did you ever fix the problem? or just went to the dealer and replaced it
  5. it was working before with the old battery; but i had to press it several times just to get the door open. So i assumed the battery is low; now i just broke it...hahaha
  6. yes, i am using the right battery...and not upside down. just got it from target, so should be new. does it have to be re-programmed or anything like that?
  7. I just changed my keyless remote battery; and the thing stopped working...lol, am i doing something wrong here? i can't change the remote battery by myself? that have to be handled by a dealer?
  8. I would suggest you only use a Lexus replacement battery. My '98 GS3 came with a Panasonic battery from the factory in Japan that lasted 10 years! I don't think you want some dumb looking yellow or red top battery sitting in the pristine engine bay of your '05, do you? Come original. His 05 has an OEM battery in it... it obviously hasn't lasted 10 years. My 02's OEM battery lasted a good 4 years... but for what an OEM battery cost, just go with another brand battery... chances are the black shroud that was with the old battery will still fit over the new one. My experience with the OEM Lexus battery was outstanding - 10 years of service is longer than ANY other OEM battery I have ever owned. I'm just relating my Lexus experience; Russ can read all of the comments and then decide for himself. I am still running on my OEM battery; and got no problems with it for few years
  9. Hey, is it possible to send me a copy as well? Lee.chen1981@hotmail.com; really appreciated it
  10. When i changed my oil today and replace the filter; i was checking the sterring fluid as well as the brake fluid. Apparently the steering fluid should look red right?, but mine has a dirty brown colouring. As for the brake fluid, it is looking not too healthy either. anyone know how to flush them out, and replace them with new fluids? I have an 02 gs300; thanks for the help guys.
  11. I had an issue before when i turn the keys the car won't start; but it cranks. The radio is working and lights as well; so i took my car in for service but all they did was change the battery. problem fixed!!! something about it requires "this amount" of voltage to start the car, anyway i got the basic idea when they tried to explain but the car is fixed...haha
