  1. If it keeps tripping it is because of a build up of bubles in the gas from the areator. In order to rectify it just pull the nozzel out a little so the bend in the gas tanks piping doesn't cause the back up.
  2. Just be glad it didn't destroy and electronics. Put it back in the box and demand a refund for the defective product
  3. From the lack of details on the parts you mentioned and the lack of getting any codes,no one is going to be able to tell you what needs to be replaced. Get a mechanic or a skilled friend to help you and show you basics of car repairs at the same time.
  4. This is a classic in that i will remember for a long time about the person who came on the forum to ask about a high end vehicle in order to remove a few cents worth of gas to refill a lawn mower ,rather than the obvious of filling a normal gas can for it.
  5. Has anyone changed the brake rotors? Had a high end balancer not a normal shop check the wheels?
  6. Actually the reason why the brake pedal got hard is because the vacuum assist inside the brake booster has been used up. It will not regain assist until the engine is restarted to evacuate the booster again. Nothing to do with fluid. Guys i would recommend you take this to PM ,email or aim or one of those things instead of the off-topic forum conversation. thanks
  7. What is your experience level in automotive maintenance and repairs? All quantities are listed in the owners manual at the back of it.
  8. It is pretty easy to check the belt your self. First thing in the morning when you start the car does the belt squeel like mad?If so it is loose or slipping for some reason. Otherwise just look to see if it is there and does not have rips cracks or cuts.
  9. I really like the grille also , with the eyelids they would look nicer if the car had a larger painted bezel surround for the oem grille to smooth it out. Otherwise if you just removed the sharp edges of them that are beside the grille they would smooth out and look awsome.
  10. Drilled or slotted rotors are not meant to be turned. If they are they end up causeing wear and damage on the carbide tips of the machines from the sharp peaks and edges. It can be done as i have done them myself once when i was jobless. Otherwise just buy new rotors it is safer and cheaper in the overall as a machined rotor just warps faster as it is uneven amounts of metal causing non uniform expansion of metal which was the reason why the rotors warped in the first place.
  11. What year is your LS? I would think if you have active restrainsts (meaning the belts pull back on occupants in an accident), I know mine ugs lightly when i shut off the car with them still buckled otherwise it is just a little tick noise. You may have a weak battery/alternator or a wiring problem
  12. Is the acessory belt loose or broken?
  13. LOL i knew you would come after me. BTW guys keep the same screen nameover there ,it is easier to find you.
  14. Depending on the temperature of the coolant it switches the vacume flow. It is a thermo switch. If it doesn;t adversly affest your pocketbook for one then get it.
  15. So who else is joining from over this side? Come on were is DOBIEg he loves a challange and i know he can't beat me. LOL It is a wicked game as it uses math equations to race not visuals. So it involves buying a car parts and other buisness like properties to make a winner not the actual part but what it does. The game is a text based one which varies you parts ,cars and tracks to determine a winner.
  16. I guess that is what happens when you have a garage door opener as sophisticated as your car. Glad i have my crappy but simple craftsman one.
  17. Glad this wasn't a raggin on women thread. VR rims usually take dings and dents pretty well. I would refinish the rim and keep it as a spare.
  18. P/S pumps bearings go so it needs a new one.I know of 3 in toronto alone. water pumps leak i have had that as well from the bearing.
  19. depends on the model there are 2 types the old ones (stiff) the newer ones (less stiff) and the newest ones which are totally different
  20. I usually tell people i was dumb enough to spend more for a camry with real leather seats and an "L". It is a camry platform, and it never has bothered me.
  21. I guess you alreayd tried the directions in the manual. How old is your garage door opener, make .model? homelink has a website and a technical # to help with programming issues as well.
  22. if you get no codes i would not replace anything unless it needs it. Clean you MAF ,get a motor vac(since the throttle body probably needs to be cleaned anyway), run premium gas, synthetic oil flush the tranny and add an inline filter and it should last forever.
