  1. the word "antenna" is very common beacuse every week someone come on here asking how to fix it but never even reads an FAQ ! If i thought you actually had something that had never come up atleast 3-4 times a month i would let you know. Everyone gets so lazy and expects others to do the leg work reading and learning.
  2. That is a tein edfc which adjust the dampning of the shocks when you buy adjustable shock coilovers. It makes the suspension softer or firmer not lower or higher.
  3. Where did you find seafoam in Ontario? Seam foam is a good diy fix it is not as good as a motorvac as it uses alchole and methanol which evaporate too quickly to deeply and effictivly clean thick carbon deposits. It does help break them down very well for an store shelf product.
  4. A good technition has a scan tool to show what is exactly wrong with the srs sytem, find a techintion and dump the mechanic you have. The brake pads squeel for the same reason ,the mechanic was supposed to add anti queel to the back of the pasd to keep them from dragging on the rotors and making noise, no blue/red anti squeel and you get noise. It is a 3 second .30 cent thing to do when changing brakes. The smoke if it doens; smell is probably just vapour trapped in the vent system, nothign to worry about. the leak needs to be found befroe it causes more problem. You would need to find what seal is gone and seal it again.
  5. they have a sticky in the forum which makes it easy to get all the answers needed rather quickly. It should take about 10 minutes to find and print to be able to read at your leisure. You are going to want a gen 3 phillips ballast with oem bulbs rebased.
  6. Drive with the o/d off ,it sounds like the tc fibres are gone from agressive downshifting and the metal is from the lining gone and leaving only metal. Metal is never a good thing ,it would eb easier to get a new tranny as that ones sounds bad.
  7. You know what, i am a member of over 50 local toronto clubs and another 30 worldwide. So if you really want to learn then sign up. If not go to a store and hope for the best, I am not sure why you think anyone else should spoon feed you.
  8. He is joking as i have never heard of that nor do i feel it would ever take place.
  9. A good gen 3 philips rebase kit goes for about $300 with oem parts from what i have seen
  10. Have you ever disconnected the battery to reset the system after any work? It is tru an oil change will not cause all these problems. Personally after replacing all these parts i would take it to a dealer for a prognosis. A tech who does the cars all days will figure it out pretty quick. Also an estimate is usually only 30 minutes=$60
  11. search to find out what a motor vac is i only said "super" after to call you by your forum name.
  12. You only have 3 total for o2 sensors. 1 after the cat 2more , one the left and one on the rear banks. P1133 Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Circuit Response Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) P1155 Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Have you checked to make sure the pigtail wire is good? For you to be having multiple codes seem odd since these cars usually never have more than 2 at any given time unless neglected or in an accident. You replaced the maf,was it new or used? Did you ever check the rubber intake hose to see if it has any rips or cracks?
  13. yah there are lots of 3vz tranny and motors but they are all here in Toronto. You have JDM importers drop them a line. Too bad you didn;t get an line filter. I bet it is not burnt clutches but o/d fibres from the lockup buffer.
  14. mc culloghs are garbage ,don't buy them ballasts or bulbs. www.hidplanet.com great info prices and beware of
  15. Yes it is a pain to reach the bottom one as you can;t see it and the brake booster doesn't help by being in the way.
  16. The scratch X works great and i have used it lots. I now use 3m scratch remover and then 3m plastic polish. The cleaner works and so does the polish but it give the clear plastic a white haze. If the cracks are not bad as it looks i would clear coat them ,especially since you seem to have to redo them after only 6 months it needs protection after cleaning to keep the buildup off either from wax or paint.
