  1. The easiest way is to remove the wiper blade, then place newspaper under the arm and spray it with tremclad satin or matt finish or glossy if desired. Scuf it with an sos pads for additional adhesion.
  2. Don't the pics show 2 one for the throttle body and the other for the trac system?
  3. It was either towed or it had a pre programed key previously. If the control box is still available and it is installed in another working car it would be able to tell you if more than 2 keys were ever programeed to the car ,which could have been anyone from a mechanic to a carwash as it only takes 20 seconds to have the bypass programmed with a working master key provided by the owner.
  4. I have one gold one under my rearveiw facing forward where i cannot see it from inside. One on the rear glass above the 3rd brakelight. 1 on each rear window at the bottom of the glass by the trim.
  5. When will Lexus "Canada" ever learn and catch up to the rest of the world in marketing.
  6. i can't believe anyone would still ask anything about the cluster before reading what is already on the LOC all 100 pages worth of it for where and how to get it fixed.
  7. If a sway bar is broken or loose it will cause the car to roll more in corners and change its oversteer/understeer properties
  8. you have a transponder key issue. I am renaming the thread as it is completely irrelevant to the actual issue
  9. Go to a power washer ,select the soap cycle and angle the head about 1 inch from the area and it removes most if not all of it. The best way is prevention by waxing the front end. Other than that get a clear bra which is very easy to remove anything from.
  10. it does not open the trunk you need a new alarm to have more features
  11. You say it is the same noise but is it exactly the same or similar, have you checked the serpintine belt? Is it only the first time for the day for you starting it after and extended period it makes the noise?
  12. so honkand ,what you are saying is the reason the SRS light flashes is to say the proble iswith an interupted power supply?
  13. I find it almost impossible to have all 4 sensors broken at the same time. Get a second opinion. The sensors will always look rusted as small metal shreds are stuck to the magnetic ABS sensors . WD40 is a useless POS don't wate your time get PB blaster if needed to penatrate. The sensors are brittle and cannot be pressed out.usually the sensors never go bad it is a case of the hubs being worn and the tolerances being way out of spec causing them to not read. If the abs light does not come on until you start moving it is a sensor or hub.
  14. Just buy new ones , machining them is a waste.
  15. Start by going to a stereo shop to figure out how much you are going to have to spend and what you like and want.
  16. I would check the sensor and make sure the engine is not coated in sludge blocking proper readings.
  17. You have just helped cement the issues that show an exhaust leak in a manifold can cause o2 sensor failures when there is none.
  18. If you have a check light you will not be able to know what is wrong with the car without a scanner that a technition or dealer has.
  19. When the car is cold the ecu is in open loop and not reading codes such as the o2 as it is still cold. Have you tried cleanign your maf and throttlebody/intake
  20. Read the FAQ or my sig both are everywhere
  21. The easiest thing to do is to drop the pan and get the valve body cleaned and reinstalled, then add an inline tranny filter to the cooler line and it should be fine after if there is not other major worn clutches.
  22. A consistent leak of PS fluid can cause issue but a quick spill is no problem unlike the older 4.0l v8's. Air in the PS system would not be a problem as it is not sealed and circulates the fluid to the reservoir to release air if accumulated. I would have suspected a dirty screen /filter causing the backup.
  23. I had a great time , i loved it and it was nice meeting you Kewl. Lots of thanks to Davegs4 for organizing the meet which must have been a logistical nightmare but turned out great. Actually the car inside the shop was not an LS on an IS frame ,it was the same car from the spy photos all over the net. It is a toyota crown cut by the rear doors to shorten the wheelbase to fit the new IS350 drivetrain for testing.
  24. Actually the earler SC had a single side button in about 95-96 it changed to a seperate multibutton fob.
