  1. It is a cartridge style oil filter located in the drection of the front of the car in comparison to the oil pan. It is silver in color. You can remove the plug from the oil filter, and drain the oil from the filter before unscreing the entire assembly for a cleaner job.
  2. I have the 18" Rims with the Dunlop Tires. I would actually prefer the 19" wheels. I bought mine when it first came out in mid-february, and the 19" weren't available. Would you consider a trade on the rims ... my 18" for your 19"? Let me know ... send me a PM either way. --Antonio
  3. GO HERE: www.lorenzotintny.com Hey ... I just got the 2010 RX350, and plan to do a clear bra as well to keep the front chip free. I plan on using my tint guy in Bronx, NY. It is definately worth the 30 min drive from Northern NJ. I take all my cars there to be tinted once I first get them. They do a very professional job. They work on mostly higher-end cars ... MB, Audi, BMW, Lexus, Acura, Porche, Range Rover, etc. They installed the tint on my 2007 TL Type-S a few years ago .... did a wonderful job ... looks like it came from the factory... Plus while I was at the shop for the install, somebody who had the clear bra installed on front bumper came in ... they had gotten into a light accident, which scuffed up the corner of the bumper. The guys at Lorenzo's, peeled off the clear-bra ... the clear bra had taken the entire hit ... the bumper underneath was flawless... and the paint left UN-shattered! I was stunned ... they redid the clear bra on the SLK's bumper and it looked like new! This made be make an appointment for the following weekend to have my car clear-bra installed. ... definately worth the investment in my opinion!
  4. Does anybody know how to access the Service Menu (Override Command) on the new 2010 HDD Navigation system??
  5. Just bought 2010 RX350 AWD Starfire Pearl w/ Gray Leather - HDD Navigation - Premium Package - Comfort Package - Wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob - Towing Prep Package - 12-speaker Premium Audio System Sticker Price = $46,750 Price Paid = $44,000
  6. You don't need either of those parts. A good body shop can use some technique that they have for repairing crack like that in plastic on the bumper cover. And why do you need a fender?? Looks like it was scraped up. They will sand out the scuffs, prime, paint and clear & you'll be all set ... I suggest you go to another body shop and get some other quotes, as from the pictures, it seems very minor, and could easily be repaired without all that replacement. At most, the only part I'd buy would be the Front Bumper Cover, as if it was my car, I wouldn't want the cover repaired, thats just me, but just letting you know the option is out there!
  7. I suggest that you go to the Lexus Parts Counter and pickup a set of washer nozzles from a 2005 ES330. I hated the wiper nozzles on my 98 ES300, so I replaced them with ones off the newer ES, and I absolutely LOVE them. They spray a mist instead of two crappy streams .... so much better & worht the $20 I paid!!! --Antonio
  8. I seem to be having the same troubles myself (98 ES300) ... my actron code reader gives the following codes: P0125 - P0171 - P1133 - P1135 - P1153 - P1155 - I replaced both Air/Fuel Ratio Sensors (Cali Emissions), used my Actron Code Reader to reset the check engine light ... but: Car still runs like total Crap ... idle is rough, and the car bucks for a while 10-15mins, then runs normally ... but eats up gas like it's water ... I'm out of ideas ... ANY HELP is greatly appreciated
  9. I guess thats why mine doesn't have it then ... do you have the relay box near your battery for the DRLs? I have the relay box there, but there is only 1 relay in the box ... the one at the top right ... I'm wondering if mine was built for canada?!?
  10. After doing a little research .. I found that my 98 ES300 is supposed to have DRLs. I like the way the DRLs look on the ES, and I was wondering why my car didn't have them. I check under the hood, and low & behold, the relays are missing!! I guess the previous owner didn't like the DRLs, but I want to put them back. If someone could please do me a favor, and pull out the 3 large relays in the compartment in front of your battery ... what I need is the Lexus part number off of all 3 relays, which relay the part number belongs to, and also ... there should be a two digit number on the side of the relay as well ... if someone would be kind enough to get this information off of their cars ... it would save me a ton of money by not having to buy these relays at the dealer at over $45 each!!! (From what I've been told by others) Thanks, Antonio pillpusher84@gmail.com
  11. Not Brand New from the dealership it isn't ... on eBay I can only find the ES/IS/GS Smart Keys ... nothing for the Camry though ... but in my past experience w/ fobs ... if the FCC IDs match ... the fobs have always worked ... so since the camry's id match's the ones for the ES/IS/GS .. my assumption is that it will work as well. I suspect that Denso just changed the outer shell of the Lexus fob to make it more attractive & "luxurious" looking. I have a friend at a lexus dealership that can get me lexus parts @ 10% over dealer cost ... I should try him out to see how much it would really cost me for a BRAND NEW ES350 smart key instead of playing around with eBay. Ahh... I just had another idea ... I bet i can order just a key blank ONLY from the toyota dealership ... that way I can give my smart key to a valet, but just clip it onto a blank, uncut key, so that I can attach it to a keychain so it won;t get lost ... hmm... I think i'll have to investigate this route as well ... what ever is a better value is what i'll do! ... it would be nice to have a 3rd key though ...
  12. OK ... then I better rethink whether I really need the 3rd key ... I'm sure they'll want a full hour of labor! I hate how the fob was designed... I really want a 3rd key for valet ... Taking out the actual key from the fob results in there being no place for a key ring, and I don't want the valet to loose the key because they can't hang it on their little key board or whatever ... plus if i was to get a third smart key ... I wouldn't have to get the metal key cut, and therefore if I lock everything up w/ my original key & give them the new fob w/ a blank key ... they can't get int othe glove box or the trunk can you think of a better alternative?
  13. Are you sure ... I have run across a few eBay auctions, and they CLAIM to offer programming instructions. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-ES350-...sspagenameZWD1V The reason I ask is because in addition to my 98 ES300, I have an 07 Camry XLE w/ the smart key. I was thinking of getting the ES350 Smart Key (It's all I can find on the net for a reasonable price) ... I am almost positive that it will work, as the FCC ID & IC #s are the same across the IS/GS/ES & camry Smart Keys! FCC ID: HYQ14AAB IC: 1551A-14AAB Any input would be appreciated. --Antonio
  14. I was wondering if anyone has purchased a new (3rd) Smart Key for their ES350, and if so, could you please provide us all with the programming instructions? Thank you, Antonio
