  1. yeah except at idle it should be 4.3psi also check to see if you have any oil leaking maybe the guy didnt tighten your drain plug or filter enough
  2. I figured it was a bad alternator. How would I check for a bad wire? Pull the alternator? ← you would have to check the resistance in the wire with a multimeter or ohmmeter to see if the resistance is too high which you would need a wiring diagram to do
  3. i had the same problem but i got the remote thats built into the key only to find out that the key is cut differently which of course i should have known and i cant program the remote all the fcc# are the same though so i was thinking of buying an uncut key without the fob and getting it cut at a locksmith then put the fob that i bought into it and see if the dealer up here will program it for free what do you think ed?will this work?the part about getting a ke cut by a locksmith its still cheaper than what the dealer will charge for one and im already commited
  4. thats normal as far as the idle goes matbe you should try the b12 chemtool which they sell in autozone to clean out you fuel system put a can in every time you fill up
  5. you just need to change the brakes nothing else and strip the pad indicator lines,connect them and put some electrical tape around them or pay $85 everytime they snap which i think is unnecessary

  10. after i take the key out of the ignition the 2 time i get 2 cycles instead of 1 and i dont know where to go from there obviously the key works all the numbers are exactly the same as my original key so whats the deal im not ready to throw in the towel yet and go to the dealer but any suggestions would be appreciated i get the one cycle after i take the key out but when i press the remote on the new key i get 2 cycles instead of 1 and i cant program it
  11. just go to autozone and let them run the battery andalternator test for free but first check your connections

  13. i got all the way to step 8 but 9 is not cooperating i will try again tomorrow
  14. you definitely have to do it again thats why your car runs like i does now because your timing is off by that 1 tooth thereby ausing the lean mixture you probably advanced the timing forcing the ecu to try to !Removed! the timing too much which in turn set off the code and that sensor would be the crankshaft position sensor which monitors the rpms (revolutions per minute of the crankshaft) which are off due to incorrect timing so do it again then clear the codes and let us know what happens p.s. make sure that you time the engine before you take the belt off
  15. yeah people blame everything on the alternator when they dont take the time to really diagnose the problem always check connections
  16. my falt its the swirl remover and it works prett well i should have this job wrapped up by this weekend and let you know how everything turns out
  17. check to see if the a/c compressor is turning while the a/c is on you might have a leak or your compressor might have locked up
  18. get the 98 the headlights and vvt makes all the difference

  25. well i used the zaino DACP on my black 98 and had great results my cars shine is almost back but ni couldnt finish because i ran out of sunlight now my question is can i keep applying polish over the course of a week because due to time constraints i cant knock it out in a day or too and if so should i was the car before each application? the car looks real good aafter just 1 coat but i know that its going to take at least 3 before its where i want it to be now the hood is a different story thats going to need to be hit with the DACP again but it looks like it can be rescued my friend used the vector on it and even gave me a crash course (worked on one fender) so i feel i can handle it by myself with some practice and a good teacher
