  1. just got my key now im going to see if i can program it with the instructions they sent with it unsuccessful will try again tomorrow

  3. well i used the zaino DACP on my black 98 and had great results my cars shine is almost back but ni couldnt finish because i ran out of sunlight now my question is can i keep applying polish over the course of a week because due to time constraints i cant knock it out in a day or too and if so should i was the car before each application? the car looks real good aafter just 1 coat but i know that its going to take at least 3 before its where i want it to be now the hood is a different story thats going to need to be hit with the DACP again but it looks like it can be rescued my friend used the vector on it and even gave me a crash course (worked on one fender) so i feel i can handle it by myself with some practice and a good teacher
  4. my brakes seem a little soft does anyone know if you have too bleed the actuator also to make sure all the air is out you need a pressure something to put over the master cylinder which of course i dont have
  5. you most likely have a short in the harness somewhere i would go see an electrical guy make sure that the connector is nice and tight first
  6. i was going to get it on my 98 a couple of years ago but the guy told me i couldnt use it with my factory system so i passed
  7. hook the can up to the lowside with the car off thenturn it on and place the a/c at its coldest
  8. i doubt it because all you can see is the tops of the TB and you cant remove anything but maybe another member can give a more definite answer(highly unlikely is my opinion)
  9. i think im ok because like monarch said after i drove to autozone to get another qt. of mobile1 engine oil and checked the tranny again it was all the way to the top hot line the ps was due because i was getting a little noise when i was turning but now its smooth as silk and no noise i just finished draining all the break fluid filling back up and then bleeding and now my master cylinder is much clearer
  10. i know SW but i read in another post how expensive it would be for the front end work thats why i suggsted he trade up i used a bad choice of words though and the unny thing is i knew you guys were going to correct me on it
  11. but can i do any driving until tomorrow if its a little low and i thought the trany took 8.8qts. i put 9 in plus a pint of dura lube tranny trreatment
  12. i love them too thats why i got the 98 instead of the 97 but im said to tell you that its not possible because the hood among othr things save your money and put it towards trading up you wont regret it

  14. i have those same chips all on my grill from th highway so i bought a colgan 2 piece brs and it looks real good atsome point ill get it taken care of because it gets o my nerves but not now
  15. i flushed my tranny using the oil cooler method took off the pan & filter cleaned both and replaced no shaving on the magnets it took 8 qts. of t-iv before the red stuff started to show. hooked everything back up and put and put 1 more qt. plus 1 pt. of dura lube treatment in warmed the car p and went through the gears everything was fine but when i checked the fluid level it was just below the hot line warmed up someand more & checked 3 more times same place no more t-iv so i was tempted to put some mobile1 synthetic atf in that was left over from the power stering flush but didnt out of fear(mainly from posts in the forum)the dealer isnt open till monday so what are my options?im glad i did the flush because the stuff that came out looked brownish red. i also flushed the ps fluid by removing the inlet hose of the reservoir until the color changed it took a little more than a qt. the stuuf that came out was also brown i drained the engine oil removed the pan and cleaned it no sludge in it(pan was real clean also)the oil was real dark after only a month and a half and 974 miles so please dont use mobile clean 5000 its garbage it surprised me that both pans were clean being that both fluids looked filthy i also took the maf out and sprayed b-12 chemtool in it since its not really accessible(hope i wasnt in violation) then i cleaned and armoraled all the covers removed the battery and did a pretty decent scrub job in the engine with soap and water and replaced everything whe i cranked my car the vsc & engine light was on because i was running it without the airbox but i have a scantool so i can clear it i started at 2 and finished at 9 with the help of 2 friends and real long breaks
  16. you have to remove the engine undercover and its on the left hand side if your underneath the car looking up

  18. Agreed, Those are minute rock and sand chips, The only way is to replace the glass. ← i was thinking the same thing but i will try mscotts suggestion right after i hit it with the clay bar its not really impairing my vision its just annoying
  19. i have these real small specs all over my windshield you cant even see them unless your sitting in thev front seat no matter how much that i clean i cant remove them does anyone know what the cause is and what i can do to make my glass smooth and clear again ive read about how to clean the glass but im not sure if itb applies to these little nicks
  20. ok im ready to flush out all my fluids i have 2 quarts of mobile1 synthetic atf for the power steering, a big bottle of dot3 brake fluid to bleed all the lines, reservoir and actuator, 6 quarts of mobile1 synthetic engine oil and filter, 9 quarts of toyota T-IV atf and the gasket that i ordered from autozone and i have to get some diff fluid does anyone know what kind? i bthink i read somewhere on the forum that you can just clean the tranny filter and then reinstall is this true? what do i use to clean the oil and tranny pans ? if i missed anything feel fee to add it my plan is to do it thsi weekend so i can get all of this stuff out of my trunk all of the oils plus the detailing stuff doesnt leave a whole lot of room in the trunk and i personally like to keep it clean with lots of space

  24. just finished claying the car i used the mothers product and even though the paint still looks like cra it sure s smooth i took it to a hand wash place first i couldnt get to the DACP tody does that mean that i ave to clay the car again on saturday? itsv supposed to rain tomorrow any you wouldnt believe what happen while i was cleaning the car i had my trunk open and a friend of mine stop to ask me what was wrong with the car because he saw me with the headlights out(trying to aim)and he sees all of the detailing stuff in my trunk the vector included then he starts telling me how h used to work for a shop doing all of the stuff that i need doneand he says to cll him on saturday and he will hit the car up for me and give some lessons i cant wait up to that point my day was not going well due to baby mama drama and that brought me right out of y funk go figure
  25. best car for the money just make sure what kind of maintenance has been done or it could cost you in the long run
