  1. I found the package of gasket for pan , it is made by FEL-PRO,parts #: 94206 Automatic Transimission Oil Pan gasket and also check this : http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/catalog.ph...2&parttype=8612 I brought it from my local auto shop in Canada
  2. I've done on my 95 ls400 all these maintenance almost same as 91 ls400, here are something I think you should be carful to do: 1: Get your transmission fluid from your local lexus dealer, you don't need change your transmission filter,it is a metal one, you just need to clean it. But be very carfull when you want to take off the transmission drain pan,it is very hard to break it free, don't make the edge of pan uneven, also carefully clean the old sealer, I clean the filter with brake cleaner, before you install the filter back, make sure it is abslutly clean, not water,no brake cleaner at all, otherwise it may polution the transmission fluid I think. I brought a new gasket, part #35178-50010, and do as this guide you: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/transmission/transchange.html 2:My power sterring runs good, so I don't flush my power sterring fluid, I just partial replace them with new Dox-III ATF fluid as manual suggested , each time I just pump half quart old fluid from reservoir and add new one, repeat many times until the color becomes red. If you want to flush the whole system, it is much better than I do. 3:I have switch to synthetic oil, it is no problem at all. 4:Clean MAF sensor located between main air intake and throttle body with electirc contector clean spray,do not use brake cleaner or oil cleaner! and also clean the throttle body as guide here http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/EFI/throttlebody.html. 5: I have change my ten years old fule filter last year.this was done in a local car shop, because I am little worrid about the gas dangerous. That all what I do on my 95ls400 last year Hope you have nice ride.
  3. Hope me experiments may help: [95 lexus ls400 95km] My first time got a engin light on is Junn,2005, when I deep gas panel for a up hill acceleration, the check engin light on,I took the car to local lexus dealer to fix it, here is their report said: Condition:Check engin light on Lack if acceleration up hills Casue: Code P0430-catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank2) Correction: Possibly catalytic convertor-bank2 require replacment, cleared code for now, customer to monitor After two month local driving, check engin light got on several times when I deep gas panel for accelaration when uphill driving. each time I try to diconnnect the battary to get rid of that annoy light. it didn't work long for sure as you know, the light went back. Finally, I do two things which I think it solved the probelm: 1: Clean the MAF [Mass Air Flow]sensor, as I undestand it will send ECU wrong signal if it was covered by dirty or dust, a wrong or rich gas and air mixture will cause a higher emission which brings the check engin light on.but be carefull to clean that sensor, here is the pictue guide: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ex_v2&id=50&c=9 2: Clean the Throttle body as guided by http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/EFI/throttlebody.html The above two URL are 91 ls400 model, 95 ls400 just a little differnet. Since then I've never got the check engin light on Enjoy your ride!

  5. Hi, the check list may help you out, have a try 1:clean MAF sensor 2:clean throttle body, had better take out clean. url for check http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/EFI/throttlebody.html 3:clean PCV or replace 4:check transmission fluid level or change 5:try to change driving habit, your Lexus has tranny intelligence; they pick up on your driving habits and start shifting accordingly. Have you try 3000-3500rmp gas pedal?

  13. Hi, Monarch You let me more excited! my car is only 80k, Looks like I just need to clean the strainer, solenoids and oil pan. I surppose I can ONLY use some new transmision fuid to clean the strainer's metal mesh screen and solenoids. am I right? Thanks again
  14. Hi blake918 again I have checked your given link. Thanks you for your great help. I now konw where is the strainer, solenoid and how to clean them. Maybe I should tell parts salesman I need a strainer not a filter. maybe that make him comfused.
