  14. cant go wrong with that model i had a 91 that was pearl and it took alot to get rid of it im still fond of the color
  15. more than likely because the ecu needs to know the temp of the air the colder the air the heavier and vice versa so the engine can get the correct air/fuel ratio idont know where its at on your year but un mine its buit into the maf sensor onthe air box after the air filter
  16. good a clogged egr is just as bad as stuck closed egr because if the exhaust gases are not allowed to vent into the engine tat would create a very rough sounding engine which could die from time to time from too much pressure by the way are all your codes gone?
  17. this is all solid info im definitely saving this page you guys need to post this in all forums with the needed changes depending on engine thanks
  18. that site looks nice i saved it so i can go back there later thanks for that info
  19. sounds like balljoints or control arm bushings
  20. the o2 code means that the cat is not burning the exhaust fumes properly which is killing the sensor sooner and producing the smell while the throttle position sensor might be going bad causing the throttle not to open up which would make the car stall out from lack of air these are just some of the things that you should check all you need to do to check if the fuel pump is getting a signal is disconnect the pump connector and check for a signal with a voltmeter
  21. if you dont want to worry just change it your going to be in there anyway and it doesnt cost that much
  22. put some oil dye in there and let the car run for a little while then turn off the lights and inspect all parts ofthe engine carefully the dye glows in the dark so you should be able to see the leak if there is one by the way are you sure that you didnt spill any kind of fluids in there this would cause a smell until the heat from the engine burnt it completely off
  23. that means that the charcoal canister is not purging the exhaust gases into the intake correctly which could be many things first you need to check the connector to the VSV(vacuum switching valve) is properly connected, then make sure that the hoss are connected, after that you have to check that the ecm is sending the proper signals which is awhole new ballgame because you need the wiring diagram for the circuit. i dont know where the VSV is on your car but on mine its right next to the injectots on the drivers side i hope this helps
  24. thanks just wanted to make sure hopefully ican finish up the polishing this weekend if itdoesnt rain
