  1. I see it. driver's side. metal tuble with a flare fitting to a rubber hose. 14mm and 19mm connection. between the oil cap and master cylinder.
  2. Do you have chrome wheels on the LX? Is the spare tires cranked down very tight? Email me no1sportz.
  3. I'd go Michelin MXV4's. Had 4 sets on all my cars. Great tires.
  4. P/S pump won't leak on the starter. It will leak on the alternator and get on the exhaust manifold on the passanger side. I'd check the manifold area and the valve covers for leakage also.
  5. 3 fasteners. Have to remove the bumper to get the last one.
  6. Not all Denso's are the same quality as the Denso's from the dealer. Buy a dealer reman.
  7. Take out the 1 bolt that goes through the mount and locks the axle. Remove the snapring and soak the area with rust penetrant. Long punch and heavy blows with a hammer will pop the axle out of the mount.
  8. There's a big o-ring that seals the cap to the distributor. Over time it really sticks the two together. tap on it with a rubber mallet and should come loose.
  9. There is a vacuum switching valve (VSV) that opens the heater control valve. Check it and see it it actually applies vacuum to the heater control valve.
  10. Known problem. Cosmoline undercoating is getting between the heat shields. Have them replaced or burned off with a torch once the shields are removed from the exhaust.
  11. There is an orange color light for low oil level warning. Red is for oil pressure. the orange light is next to the CHECK ENGINE light.
  12. The front door mids (speakers) have a chrome bezel with Mark Levinson.
  13. Did the rubber seals for the bulb sockets fall off?
  14. 100,000 miles. Replace water pump,t/belt, idlers, cam and crank seals.
  15. Smells like sh*t! If they actually did the complete repair, they should've replaced valve stem seals as part of the job. Cams are out at that point so is the timing belt. They should only charge for parts, there is only about 20 minutes of labor to replace the water pump and open a bag and install a new timing belt. What is parts are billed out on the repair order? I'd do some digging and see how much labor you were charged for them to open a bag and put on new parts that they already took off and got paid for by Lexus.
  16. Good luck. The axle is a pain in the a*s to get out. try punching the area where the 2 shafts bolt together.
  17. Simple. You lose you job and can't pay with an equity loan, you lose you house and equity it has. You lose your job with an auto loan, you lose your car
  18. 1996 es300 doesn't have an EGR position sensor. Check hoe much vacuum you have at the EGR valve, engine hot @ 2500 rpms. More than likely the modulator is bad
  19. The chain wrench is great. Use it all the time. An old drive belt cut to wrap around the pulley will keep the pulley in perfect shape.
  20. Tail and brake lights all work? 3rd brake light? Can't be anything else but a bad bulb. Side markers are not in the failure warning circuit.
