ok tranny went on the ES grinding noise from pan...dropped pan i had all sorts of metal shaving pyramids on magnets...anyway not to long before i had changed fluid and screen... ow im told that synthetic fluid should have been used.....is this true? and could regular atf have caused this? this car is a 98 es 300 just picked up a low mileage 97 trans...going to put this in....what fluid needs to be put in ?and when all is said and done does anyone recommend a trans flush...maybe with a BG product? also being the shavi ng did a number whats the best way to flush out the trans cooler? thanks

I don't think you need us. You've pretty much answered your own post. Somebody needs to set histhrottle plate back where it belongs & reset his ECU. Just make sure you don't have any other vacuum lines, or electrical connections missing after you do that. thanks Toys what would the throttle plate setting be? .006? any ideas? thanks

hi all....ill be brief hope someone can help out....removed throttle body to clean and while i was at it also took off intake god were they a mess .. they look pretty good now...well reinstalled it all and long story short forgot to connect what i think was the idle speed elec connector..the plug is directly under the rubber tube going towards the air filter its right on the throttle body....so anyway started the car the car idled high...dummy me i saw there was an allen screw adjustment on the body where the cables are located eg:gas peddle and cruise control cables....i messed with that hoping to lower thwe idle.....then i realized the plug was not connected....re-connected and ran the car now the car idles low and stalles sometimes while at a stoplight....i i went back and tried to put that allen screw in t he position it was in the first place....car still stalls a little is there something else to look at? any help is appreciated i just want to set the idle speed where it needs to be and fix what i screwed up thanks

SK heres a question..my 98 manual says regarding the overhead console it can accomedate sunglasses but also shows a garage door opener...ive asked a few dealers about this only to get jerked around ...eg: no such thing why would the friggin owners manual show it.......any insight? my 97 has a coupe piece of velco and some square nobs in the overhead console but no sun glass holder. justin hi hey anychance you can get a part number off the thing what you described is what im looking for thanks

hi all...i need to add some fluid to the differential and i cant seem to find the fill plug...on the back of the case towards the bottom is an hex threaded plug..i was told that theres a plug on the right side of the case..i dont see anything there...on the left side is a blank spot where it looks like there should be a threaded plug or bolt....but again nothing there,,,any help is appreciated.......

hi all...im sure this has been posted before and i apologize for asking ...have the snap ring and locking bolt out on the support bracket..axle is ready to come out but ive pulled and banged and no luck ..sprayed the support with rust bust no luck...where would one use a punch or anything else for the matter to get this damn thing out..are there any clips holding the shaft in the tranny? i also dont want to beat the *BLEEP* out of it to get it out i have to reuse it...any help is appreciated
