  1. Couple different things to look for. Email me.
  2. All 2006 Lexus models require the use of ILSAC GF-4 engine oil standard. Castrol doesn't meet that standard. Check out TSIB EG001-06.
  3. I've seen a few gs starters fail the way you've described. Buy a reman starter.
  4. The door open detection switch is part of the latch. I have seen many things cause this problem. Updated/Recalled body ECU's for 1999 models. Multiplex communication errors that can be reset only by unplugging the driver's window master switch. Try unplugging the switch and see if it helps.
  5. Is the airflow meter plugged in?
  6. Just some emissions changes. HC filter and key off EVAP system. Some changes for EVAP DTC's.
  7. They are about $25 at the dealer. Just buy a new one.
  8. Sounds like the volumne air flow meter has failed. Especially since you have 2 DTC"S for it.
  9. Coolant temp sensor is drivers side, on the head, behind the area where the dipstick tube bolts on. 2 wire connector.
  10. There will be a coupe and convertible model later this year/early next year.
  11. I've seen a few blower motor resistors go bad, causing strange intermittent problems. It's to the right of the gas pedal, pull down the carpet and you'll see it. Black connector.
  12. There is a switch in the left side of the trunk in the tool kit, to turn off the air suspension. Did the shop turn it off before lifting the car? If not the compressor will overfill the shocks and cause one or both to blow.
  13. I've been 4 wheeling in a 2001 Rx300, and it works. AWD, not a hoax.
  14. 4 colors, white, blue, red, gold. Don't know how you ran 4 white sensors with no warning light.
  15. I'd put the old belt on, lock the crank pulley with a chain wrench and use a breaker bar with a pipe extension and break loose the cam sprocket bolts. Normal lefty-loosey threads.
  16. Is the hose alignment pin lining up with the caliper? Aftermarket caliper or OEM?Is so you might have a cracked bolt, or caliper. The master cylinder front port is for the rear brake and the rear port is for the front brakes, sure you went low on the front port, so bleed the back brakes.
  17. BROWN wire is a ground. WHITE/RED is the signal to the ECM.
  18. Part of the mass air flow meter, near the airfilter. WHITE wire with a RED tracer is IAT signal to the ECM.
  19. I use Castrol, over 350,000 miles with no problems. Replaced valve cover gaskets and cam seals so far. No other engine oil leaks.
  20. Let me guess, the valve cover is leaking and they took out the engine to repair it. Can't pull the covers on an AWD without removing the engine.
  21. I've installed a few OEM Lexus XM radio kits. All had Nav options so I don't know the how your display would be. The tuner mounts in the truck right side behind the trim covers. All you see is the antenna on the trunklid. Never saw a SIRIUS kit for an ES330 from LEXUS. Ther're probably selling an aftermarket kit.
  22. With the additional load from the alternator the idle speed will change, most people won't notice it. Does the Rx300 have a tow hitch? I have seen a couple muffler mounts sag on tow hitch. This caused the exhaust system vibrations to resonate into the body.
  23. Spray some rust penetrant on the shaft/pulley area, and with a big screwdriver or pry bar it'll pop off. pry and spin the pulley multiple times and "walk" the pulley right off.
