  1. The fog light if it fits the case fine just needs to have a new spade connector put on. Just cut the old one off and crimp the opposite male or female end on. It is common to have the wrong one.
  2. sounds liek you have a short in your wiring you need to fix you may not have to have the 3rd brake light in the spolier fixed as there should be one on your rear parcel shelf anyway
  3. you can put any tire on the rim i have sc tires for sale cheap $600 if you ever want to replace the runflats some owners have found inceraseing the tire pressue causes the tire to ride more on the center of the tread and less on the sidewalls creating a quieter and softer ride.

  5. it is only a big bolt essentially in the exhaust manifold .
  6. if the place first read the code then it would have been cleared after it may only be under cold conditions it acts up but it sounds like you need a new switch
  7. if it is the line providing vacume to the fuel pressure reg or the vsv's it can leak if one is faulty and cause gas to pass them and return to the vaum line causing it to pop off they are the blue and red things on the fuel rail

  9. i agree with stevie and webster i speed but in the right lane i usually am doing 140km in a 100km zone all day ( i would say and have never gotten a ticket but then i would get one tommorow) they only seem to peg the left hand bandits as i am always safely behind other cars to not nitce the differece in speed the valentine one is the best radar in every real world test by sports car magazines and enthusists world renound
  10. i don;t own one so i can;t say much but have you driven another dealer vehicle that has the same problem? and don;t compare a first year lexus to an average taurus your problem is comprimised of 2 systems the am and the cruise to not co exist perfectly but both still work unile first year fords that break crankshafts and other major problems or that nature one other question is does the vehicle have the laser guided cruise control or the normal one ?

Liek stevie said it is easy and needs to be replaced asap as too much fuel in the chamber will cause wash out and burn the rings on the chamber as it will remove the oil lining it an o2 sensor is basically a blot in the exhuast takes about 20-3- mintues to change and replace, so check with other parts dealer for prices as there are 3 o2 sensors but only 2 different part#'s
  13. nice to see you again i can't remember did you ever get you maf cleaned with throttle body cleaner ? have you checked you vsv's they are on the fuel rail and control the amount of pressure on the fuel rail for added fuel ? ever check or change the speed sensor in the tranny? what codes are you getting? it just might be all transmission related also meaning you need a new one which can cause bad milage ,stalling and if the throttle control valve is broken the rpms droppping
  14. just buy an alpine dvd deck or pioneer and add the nav total about 2200 but can usually be found cheaper or get a nav system and a seperate screen that mounts off to the side of the dash without replacing the lexus stereo
  15. not bad how much would you charge to make copies of someones cars i think a guy in toronto charges $250 for a 1:24 scale modle of your car also but you know you could have bought the 1:18 motor max one at walmart for $10
  16. i guess you didn't have the hammer i mentioned lying around at the time or else you could have wacked it and it would have stoppped when the starter stay on like yours it is usually because the solenoid sping has become weak or there has been some arcing from a low voltage situation causing the contacts in the solenoid to not relaese and the motor keeps spinning but the release spring pushes the gear back off the flywheel
  17. as it does not make apparent sense at first the easiest way to think of the increased temp would be better combustion from a better spark and ecu values as the car is an electric animal that needs a perfect 14.4vdc to run perfectly so if you have better combustion you can gain higher temps also not an exact answer but a thought btw you should also try replacing the alternator wire and the starter wire also. as the battery gorund wire tends to be the biggest culprit though did you find your old wire was cracked brittle and corroding at all ?
  18. as in the lesux owners manual it states to check the intergration relay beside the fuse block gauge fuse ignition switch door courtsey switch drivers side wire harness and dome fuse
  19. no need to be formal this is a fun relaxed forum if you are going to toyota they will use the camry plugs which are the exact same as the ES as the are idential engines
  20. does the tranny shift normally? if it is working fine then your dash needs to be repaired
  21. oh yah sorry no LX or 4 runner stuff if the car is newer than 97 he probably doe not have it but he does have almost every other japanese gold emblem also honda nissan and others if interested in that vintage
  22. ok i got some pricing they may seem a bit pricey but it is only because you are getting a whole brand new emblem as well and not returing your old ones wheel caps are included with the gold wheel emblems also if available all prices have been converted to US dollars and then rounded down from there original prices of whole sale cost ( not retail) these where the ones sold to the dealers in Toronto with a 8 year warrenty, since he no longer sells them he is clearing them out for below cost as he no longer has a warrenty period to look after.   23. any one of the switches being bad would mean the light on the roof would always be on also so that probably isn;t likely you probably need to change the relay for it but i doubt it is worth the money compared to just turning it off manually
  24. you always need to change the fluid syn or not 50 000km is a good time
