  2. I had the same problem looking for a fog bulb for my 92. The manual says it needs H3. So I went on ebay and ordered H3. However, this bulb did not fit because it had a wire on the end of it. Autozone had the same thing. I later found out on this forum that the correct type of bulb is H3C. I found a pair of Xenon H3C bulbs on ebay for 22$ total. The Lexus dealer in Beverly Hills wanted to charge me 25$ for just ONE bulb!
  3. It's possible that your intake may be sucking up water from the rain for some reason and mixing it into the combustion chamber.
  4. Yea the pros of an Ls are superior, not so sure about the cons though :D .
  5. Looks a little too smooth for 150mph dont u think? Maybe it's fabricated, maybe not. Here's a 1st gen doing 150. Notice how it's blurry cause of the shaking at that speed.
  6. Thanks guys. Your sympathy makes me feel better. I'm sure my dad will find a good repair guy.
  7. Pics of the crime scene... There's also another dent from a previous hit-and-run to the left (second pic) that happened just a few weeks before when my car was parked somewhere else. Anyone know any good and cheap body shops in the L.A. Area? I think its gonna cost a lot to fix just because it's a lexus.
  8. It's pretty ugly. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow with my crappy digital camera.
  9. Some SOB dented my car while it was parked and left the scene. The area above the left front tire is completely ruined. Anyone know how much this will cost to fix. :chairshot: My pappy tells me its gonna cost over 1000$.
  10. You need to go up to them full of rage and DEMAND SATISFACTION! Although every once in a while there's a car, yes icluding the LS, that has more problems than other cars of the same kind.
  11. I get at least 250 miles per full tank doing Los Angeles city driving. On freeways I get much better gas mileage. I know this cause I was able to drive from L.A. to Las Vegas (280miles) using only half a full tank of gas. I do have an aftermarket cone filter intake instead of the stock intake which I think doesn't make much of a difference. If anything I think it may be giving me worse city mpg. Don't know about freeway though.
  12. didn't find anything on recylcer.com. right now, ebay didnt have anything for 1st gen. I would rather do it myself and save $200. If anyone has does this I would appreciate some advice.
  13. If you didn't get it from the old owner your most likely gonna have to take it to the dealer.
  14. I am thinking of clearing the back lights on my 92 LS but just the amber part so it's RED/WHITE/RED. I saw some clear back lights on ebay running for about $180 but thats way too much for me. I did a search and found some posts in the ES and SC sections explaining a process in which they heat the lights buy putting the lights in the oven and opening it up and taking out the amber film. I plan on doing this to my LS but I'd like some suggestions and info from you guys first.
  15. The dealer doesn't have the code for the radio. It is set by the owner. If your car is pre-owned, the previous owner should have given it to you. You should consult your manual regarding how that feature works. The right side foglight bulb can easily be replaced. There are only three screws you need to open, the two on top and the one on the side. Once you open up these screws, pull the foglight out by holding to the lower part and pulling. Again, your manual shows how you can do this. If you don't have a manual, get one for free by registering at Lexus.com.
