first i'll move this to the detail section and second it sounds like brake fluid spilled on the car. over time it just gets bigger and bigger and the paint falls off and the panel needs replacing if not removed early as it embeds in the metal. a great way to destroy a car if you really dislike someone. As it is almost unoticable until it affects the finish which is a few days to weeks but once it gets in there there is not way to get it out the metal it either needs to be removed completly by cutting or grinding out the metal or panel replacment.

a 94 is obd2 they should be able to read the codes fine

do you still feel the secondary switch inside the switch when pressing half way compared to all the way down? you basically need to open the panel remove the switch and test it

Gettting a whole new one would be way more expaensive and not anywhere as good. You need to trouble shoot the wiring to find out which part is broken. The whole roof liner needs to be taken down.

More likely it is the switch

You have mould in the A/C system buy a deoderizer killer from pep boys or walmart get a new owners manual free from lexus website.

There probably was a scuff inside the hood when it was being manufactured with the 2 peices. The outer shell and the inner reinforcement. With the slaty air out there it can accumulate and advance quickly with a hot engine and cold exterior. I would ask them to replaced the hood completly rather than wait and it will come back if it is from the inside.

Rear discs rarely warp and none are vented only the front. I have brembo's slotted and they work great.

The rad cap may need to be replaced but it will not always keep the exact same pressure all the time as it ages.

It is a waste of money to get a red orange or blue top. The best is the Yellow and it works amazing in both of my cars. I replaced the battery wires to the starter and the main ground when i chanegd mine to make sure i had no problems with wire length as the stock ones are a bit short when swapping them out.

You should have gotten an alignment not some adjusting ,I get them for $40 for a 4 wheel alignment Canadian. I disagree with the dealership coming out on top because it takes less time. It is because the trained technition does the same job on the same cars all day long and gets better at it . I would rather let someone who is excellent take my car apart than someone who is average gettign the job done in average time who is not too sure whith what they are doing. The purpose of a flat book rate is just that so consumers don;t get scammed and it is a flat rate across the board per job. The difference is shop rate per hour.

You have a bad wiring connection. I doubt it is a relay as it cuts power and ads power not both. It is either the controller for the lights or the wiring that has been damaged.

Oil being ruptured is usally black when it gets burned from an exhuast manifold. Coolant is usually white when it also does. But to lose power woud indicate an internal leak but it wouldn't smoke under the hood. What did it smell like burned rubber ,sweet smelling ? What did the condition of the engine look like after the smoke cleared? Does the car start at all? Level of oil,coolant ,tranny? Try to fill in all the blanks and we might be able to help you track it down a bit.
