  1. there is only one oil filter for the whole toyota line up
  2. It is only made to hold the shift points longer before engaging the next gear,it is pretty much useless. Not traction control.
  3. no problem, love answering a question that hasn;t been asked before or atleast this week.
  4. You need to find out what your new code or codes are. Go to a local auto parts store for a free check.
  5. I guess no one noticed the other posts . The lexus engines and trannies ALL dile high to warm up for emmisions and the tranny only goes into normal shift pattern once it has reacheda normal operationg temperature to aid in self lubing the top end of the engine . It is not a problem it is normal. Wait around 30 - 60 seconds after turnign on the key for maximum lube before driving it is just preventative maintance. This is the main reason why so many owners who do not wait have a loud tapping noise from there valves.Since the tolerances have been worn away and toyota does not use self adjusting valve lash.
  6. I am going to be getting together with a couple of lexus clubs and making an international lexus meet ,so far there is one in North east america. I would like to have one here in Toronto and who ever else wants to set one up elsewhere in miami and cali would be nice. So far we have a confirmed date for the North east which we are going to be duplicating. DATE & TIME: Sunday, April 25th. Arrive @ 1:00 PM Krispey Kreme parking lot. In the states it so far is a bmw lexus mercedes meet in the tristate area. But for now i am focusing on the lexus only side as i am not a big bmw and mercedes forum person if interested in this but do not have a reason to post ,just sign up( register) ,if you already have then just subscribe to this post and when ever i post the next meet you will get an email telling you. If you have email subscribed threads notification
  7. Ok i couldn't let you guys have all the fun so to have a small one in Toronto and elsewhere in the states if other members are interested. So here are the details i am going for below. Basically it is a mirror of yours and hopefully we can get this going as an every few month meet for lexus owners internatinally. I am also going to make this its own post, but didn;t want to make it sound like it is my idea. 8. Like i mentioned freak, no projectors and you do not get the full beauty of the lights
  9. I didn't know any lexus came with hubcaps.
  10. In Toronto all i see is young black kids and old chinese men driving ES's
  11. huh? There is no metal to polish. It is only rubber seals and glass.
  12. any 92-93 owner will disagree with me but i would not buy one. They are a problem engine car that is over 10 years since it was retired. They have cooling system problems which cause the heads to warp among other thing. Also missing dual airbags and a few other things . A 94 and up is a much better buy for the money since it requires less maintance and costly ones at that.
  13. The cheap way is to buy stained glass paint it looks red and shines red but is more of a matt shiny finish. Art and craft stores or michael's have it The best stuff on the market is the folia tec stuff it goes on red and shines what ever colour bulb is behind it and it goes on transparant rather than making what is behind it opaqe. Don't know where in delaware has it though. try a google .
  14. Your hardware has been changed so it leaves only wiring left. I don;t think it is moisture in the amp, never said it was. It is more likely in the wiring around it or a loos connection on the amp harness itself. Do they remove the seat to remoev the amp from under it? If not i can;t see how they inspect the harness under there.
  15. I don't think it is a yaw sensor. You just gave your neibours somthing funny to laugh about. You used to be able to do that with older fords with a fuel cut out switch in the trunk but it usually ment just resetting since it was hardly ever in a case of a rollover. It definatly sounds like the throttle position sensor. Don't try and rest the car without haveing the car codse read it will only lead to more trouble to diagnois
  16. You have the lights ballast headlight rear suspension sensor and computer with all the wiring harness?
  17. The first episode had him driving one in a park backwards. He actually crashed it into a tree as he live in the city and didn;t even have a drivers liscense at the time. Luckly they rolled another new one off a truck as they towed away the last one .
  18. Lots of cars move the battery gm has some under the passenger seat most germans have them in the trunk
  19. Do you aftermarket rims? are you talking about a lock on the center cap cover over the nuts or one nut itself has a lock on it?
  20. Ureathane is much harder to work with than fibregalss.Fibre when it cracks can be covered easily urethane is much softer and likes to flex. Yes i do rub a bit as i am so low i definatly couldnt;drive it daily.
  21. I might say you have a water leak that clears up everyso often and causes the wire to act weirdly but when dry the dealer just guesses as which part is bad to make you happy. You need a water leak company to locate the source or a good wiring or audio store.
  22. you may have badly worn locks or a badly cut key which isn;t positioning itself properly to turn try moving the key in and out slightly to see if it works.
  23. hid's are amazing compared to regular lighting. You have to get used to it but if you have bad nightvision you may want to get a set of wide beam yellow foglights to fill other areas .
  24. I think we should try and make a couple of meets across the continent. ONe in Toronto ,florida ,california all for the same day . We shoulf make it a monthly thing for local owners .
