I have a 1998 GS300 Canadian model. Shortly after the car has been left unused for several weeks , in the winter, the car has experienced transmission locking and the engine light comes on. I had the engine computer replaced under warranty and two other times. Any suggestions on what is going on?

I had 3 computers in my 1998 GS. They cost about $1800 stalled. The cost is justified.

how does one get at the steering column motors and gears that retract and extend the steering column?

Has anyone encountered a groaning noise when the steeriing column is either extending or retracting? (1998 GS 300) What was the problem and how was it fixed? cost?
