  1. Doesn;t the new LS,GXand LX have laser cruise control? But they are removing the option to switch to radar as it is more effective?
  2. Cbest settings are general across the lexus range. They are posted in the general maintance section.
  3. Actually stillen was sponsered by Lexus Head office to do the conversion. There are 2 IS's with a 430 engine .One in europe and one in America. It is pretty much a one off and they said it will never be made to production in the current IS platform.
  4. You never mentioned the abs light came on. I am guessing you damaged some wires for the abs unit. It has a brake light controller inside it also and is linked to the srs sytem also.
  5. Need way more detail. When you push the tilt button does it move or the motor sound like it wants to move and is stopped, or a continous clicking>?
  6. It always helps to be as specific as possible when asking for free advice to help narrow down the possibilities. It is possible there are worn transmission parts but more than likely it is just worn engine mounts.
  7. It is normal .You probably never noticed before as you now have the windows open in the warmer weather. It is the clips on the rear pads clicking when the pads move in them as it is a floating caliper design.
  8. I would check your battery connections.
  9. No need to laquer that is more overkill. They do look best when the calipers have been painted though
  10. For gas mileage it is best to use cruise. As well as for keeping the tranny from shifting all the time. I have been in cars where people have no idea how to drive and they can;t seem to moderate the gas pedal and keep speeding up and slowing down all the time .It gets rather annoying.
  11. You can get them on this site. Metal pads do make it a litle harder to clean but they also create less dust than organic.
  12. sure ,if you were in Toronto I doubt it would be too cheap as the guy i deal with would only sell the door with the mouldings.
  13. Glad to be added thanks no problem with the dual advertising of sorts
  14. I guess the owner can't drive it with jerry curls as it would mess up the screens. lmao 6 tv's and 2 seats? Did anyone notice where the car is? I hope it stays right there as it belongs in Hicksville.
  15. Brake dust only becomes hard to remove once it has pitted the rims itself as it usually corrodes the finish and makes it really tuff to remove. A regular soap and water mix cleans tehm easily once done at least once a month.
  16. More than likely it is your tires and the belts in them have shifted because they are so low.Change them and it should rectiry itself.
  17. The trac light comes on even if it is fine. I bet there is nothing wrong with the trac system it just has to turn on if the engine throws an engine code on.
  18. Then you need to contact the dealer. It is not oem meaning the manufacture put it in. It is a dealer added option ,like a gold emblem kit or a roof spoiler. There is no factory option for it.
  19. Notice the disclaimer on the bottles ,do not use in wind or leave product ,do one wheel at a time. The reason is if it gets on the paint it will eat it real good in the wind. If it stays on the rims by doing them all the time it will create pitting on the aluminum surface after eating the clear coat. Gets some on your hands and it will sting like crazy and turn them white for a few miuntes.
  20. Home depot and walmart are usually cheaper.
  21. There are 2 switches on the parking brake pedal arm.One is for the brake light the other is for the transmission release. You have somehow disconnected that wire .You can for the time being remove the little black cover to the right of the shifter ,pop it up and there is a space to insert the key incase of a dead battery.Do this and you will be able to change positions.
  22. ONce you clean the calipers well with alchol first. they should last almost forever. Wheel cleaner will eat anything as it is acid. But who really uses wheel cleaner anymore as it is so harsh. Once the stickers on the caliper go through a few heat cylces the are almost inpossible to remove.
  23. It could be the wire but a code is the best bet to do first. Napa or pep boys should do it for free.
