I don't recall you mentioning the back issues when you made the Vegas trip and I definitely do not recall you saying anything about Tylenol. Maybe you just need a good adjustment??? A Chiropractor can probably help you with your back issues.

I just bought my IS250 this weekend... My first Lexus and I absolutely love it. However, I also had back pains from driving it around. I am very petite, so the height isn't a factor. I played with the lumbar and extended it out quite a bit and that seemed to help. I haven't tested it on a long drive yet, but I'm hoping it's no longer an issue because outside of the back pain, the car itself is fantastic!

I revised my seating position based on advice from a performance driving school. It seems I was pretty much using a Lazy Boy position. Now I'm further back, higher up, straight back, and arms partially flexed. Much better for vision. Feels uncomfortable at first but less strain on the back.

BTW, Welcome to the LOC! I would give the seat a little time to break in, along with the rest of the car. Yeah, the IS is a very nice car. Your going to love it!

Actually, I'm surprised that you have "balls" to shave, given how much you complain about your hurting! Again, try STOP complaining and ENJOY your car - YOU made the decision to buy it. Otherwise, do us ALL a favor and sell your IS so we no longer have to listen to you "whine" :cries: !

Have to agree it is very uncomfortable at first but so is a new pair of shoes. If i drove a Cadillac for years and switched to a Volvo with positive posture seating i would be in such pain for weeks.

hey this helped a lot (i think i havent driven long distance yet) but it seems to be a lot better for my back although it DOES feel weird at first. im going to miss my lazy boy :-(

and ya i get the spoiled brat thing a lot i think my service consultant treats me like one but i dont care im all about good friends and good times.

I bought my IS 250 in May '06 when I was 24...I finally saved enough to get rid of my 99 Escort...I've driven 6 hours home atleast ten times since then and this is the most comfortable car. I typically don't even stop along the way. I used to get real bad back pains in my escort if I didn't get out and stretch halfway home, but not anymore...I usually just put the seat in a relaxed position just sorta chill for 6 hours along the interstate. I can't believe you could complain about this car's comfort...especially since you're 20 years old. I'm willing to bet if you worked hard and earned that car (which I'm assuming you didn't at the age of 20) you would find the car much more comfortable...I love this car and recommend it to anyone I know looking for a car in the class.

I sit up what driving around town for better visibility in front of me...when I'm on the highway I like to relax with seat reclined a bit...I lose some immediate visibility in front of me, but that's not really important when on the highway.

im just glad to be back in business where i can actually enjoy driving my car bc if you think about it

theres not a better car than the IS. i mean everyone knows the three luxury vehicles are Mercedes, BMW,

and Lexus (Acura never got much respect, audi is meh, porsche is good but not common and unreliable, etc).

ok so if you break it down the BMW 1 series is well...the 1 series so nobody wants that. The 3 series is great

except when its fully loaded it still has MUCH less than the IS fully loaded. The Mercedes C Class is ok but again

even when fully loaded it has a lot less than the IS fully loaded. And both the 3 series and C Class are not as reliable

as the IS. Now lets look at the GS...who wants such a big car? The IS is way sportier. The E Class...my friends moms

drives those...totally uncool. And the 5 series...not sporty enough for my taste. So if you think about it, the only car

I'd trade my IS in for is like an SL b/c those are just incredible but then again really expensive.

I had the same problem. I opened the back of the seat and added more padding to it. It has helped a lot plus remember to sit in the middle of the seat. I was leaning to the right with my elbow on the arm rest and this was half my problems. Damm I miss those LS 400 seats now!!

Big fan of my IS, I am in it 4 - 5 hours a day. BUT the lumbar support in the seats are crap. I resisted doing anything about it, until my back got worse and worse.
