  1. I think we scared him away, he hasn;t been back since i answered, oopps Their have been a handful of ES300's in the states that have 20's on. they look like !Removed! and are so high in the air they might as well have a lift kit as well as they stick so far out their is no way they don;t eat the rubber,
  2. Take it back to the shop, explain it to them and tell them you want a flush not drain and fill but a machine to replace the fluid on their dime for overfilling it. Putting the car and reving the engine has pretty much sealed the deal that you have finished eating your tranny by shadetreeing it and find what is wrong and limping it home. The clutches are always touching but not enough to move a few thousand pounds ,so now they should be pretty much worn right down. Using amsoil synthetic tranny oil and some lucas treatment may help.
  3. What are you using to power the new lights?(wires) I would guess you shorted the harness and blew another fuse or the power you are using is from the dimmer switch and has cut it out from working. What happens when you remove power wire from the lights completly at the junctions?
  4. All lexus have power locks with an alarm standard from day one ,so 1989. It started with one button on the key head until 97 when it became a seperate key fob with unlock, lock and trunk with panic
  5. Add some more fluid to get it to max. it may bemoving and setting of the light in the resevouir. Does it come off when you are at a full stop?
  6. Haven't seen a JDm with a reverse beep but ,hey i have never seen a JDM in the land of JDM, so what do i know anyway. I suspect the reverse beeping bulb, They sell them here at car stores for $5 -10.
  7. The ride is the only difference is they match the tires sizes in overall diameter as Matt mentioned. Gas milage can decrease slightly for the increased rolling mass. Much better cornering feel from the steeringwheel. Much better looking IMO than a smaller rim and a bigger tire sidwall.
  8. I would say it is the tranny that is going. IACV will make ti hard to start but not really sluggish. You need to do a tranny flush not drain and fill asap. Your tranny is getting stuck in second gear and moving slowly until the filter uncoagulates from clutch debris causing low pressure. Fix today or replace a tranny shortly.
  9. Sorry i meant on the loaded caliper ( means with pads installed) which one of the pads( left or right one) are tehy both wearing out evenly or one more than another in that bad caliper corner.
  10. I know on the IS their is a module you can buy with a knob to adjust the hieght when needed by turning it. Not sure on the GS though, sorry
  11. May be head unit applicable but the am ant is in the rear window, check it for issues as well as a bad alt which can produce bad RF
  12. no it is an option on all years As it is law in Canada and can be ordered
  13. no clue what you are talking about if their was another thread you mentioned it in post in that one.
  14. I spent a few hours a few weeks ago to make a thread with all the details on changing brakes
  15. It costs me $40 canadian for 3 pulls in one hour.
  16. Don't know of it but if an IS can fit the 430 engine with some mods then why not as it uses the same 3.0L motor
  17. I use engine flushes every so often but iknow my engine is stron and have used synthetic since it was 2 years old and i had it. You will find grit and dirt by the oil cap and pcv as they do not get contact with fresh oil ,only vapours which leave build up . This is to preent splashing of oil into the intake or out of the fill cap.
  18. Are both brake pads wearing evenly or one more than another?
  19. You have the wonrg offset or tire size. I have 18's with no problems ,ever.
