  1. WHats the annual fee for that piece of plastic ?
  2. If thats an AWD, then thats a great price. If not ... its still not too shabby considering its got the performance package & Nav.
  3. Yeah. I thot so too earlier. Its just the settings for the levinson you checked out probably weren't done right. Set correctly, there is a world of difference between the Levinson and the standard stereo. I have done quite a bit of research on this :D and compared the sounds extensively.
  4. I drive a 2004 RX330 ... have been driving it for approx. 6 months now and I love it. My wife drives a BMW 330i and she loves the bimmer. OMG It should've been the other way around ... this is so messed up. Seriously though .. who gives a damn 'bout stereotypes. In the bay area, mostly SUVs are driven by women anyways. I haven't been hearing too many good things about the new TLs... so in case you decide to get a new ride, you may wanna consider the inifiniti g35 or the good ol' bimmer over the TL.
  5. My Sis-in-law got a Maxima with all the bells and whistles. The interiors(including the wheel, dash and the center console) look like what I saw in the G35. Well almost. Must be due to the presence of all that brushed metal in the interiors.
  6. Oops .. my mistake. I thot 'RX in NC' was hinting that the FX is smoother than the RX. I see what he/she's saying now. But still... when I am paying $45K for a car I'd rather it have better interiors than its low er priced cousin(infiniti interiors == nissan interiors). I agree on the sportier part.
  7. No Way. I test drove both the FX35 and FX45. They weren't as smooth as the RX330... stiffer rides both of 'em. I dunno 'bout the "Superior" vehicle part .. but they sure were powerful and I liked the handling. But the interiors were exactly like a nissan ... quite cheap for a $45K car.
  8. The AWD is going to be starting at 50K approx.
  9. thanks for responding guys. Appreciate it.
  10. Basic question. WHat causes swirls ? I see a lot of details on how to get rid of 'em. I would like to know how to avoid 'em in the first place.
  11. Not Surprising for me ... considering the fact that 90% of SUVs(incl. those trucks made by GMC) in my neighbourhood are driven by women.
  12. I spent a good 4 months researching all SUVs in the same category including the X5, tourag and FX. I've test driven almost all SUVs in this category... and chose the RX330 coz of the awesome smooth ride, luxurious features and the best interiors in the whole category. I've put around 4000 miles on my RX and have no complaints whatsoever. Never felt the "Lag" or any other tranny "issues". I would buy it all over again. Like the others I would emphasize that the complaints that you see on the board are probably a small percentage of the total number of RX owners ... especially compared to the owners who are happy with their purchase.
  13. The sequential transmission is available only if you get an RX with the performance package. If you got a premium, premium plus or the Mark Levinson package you would get the normal automatic transmission.
  14. Hey thanks for that info. phew... sure's a relief to know that nothing's !Removed! up.
  15. My RX is an AWD. Is it normal for this single latching sound to be produced when the AWD engages ? This sound happens only when I pull out my car from parking after starting the engine. Once started, I have tried to reproduce this sound by intermittently stopping(leaving the engine on) and moving to P and back to D and accelerating, without any success. This single latching sound is heard only immediately after starting the engine and going P to D and accelerating (at very low speeds like 5 mph and at 1500 rpm too).
