  2. Hey it would be great, porsche does it also with a road map to the autobahn and the ramp to lauch off of so you can glide across the pond, kidding
  3. I love it but where are the lexus owners talking about everything but cars since they don;t break except getting broken into.
  4. Hmm , i like this topic. Too bad i am too lazy to read all the deatils. I So agree with sw on the strong hold of companies for their own marketshare, it is like the mob and security from others and themselves. I also sued to work for the -ricks at Bell Canada, i won;t even go their in how they screw you and you don;t even know. Tdma is not dea here in Ontario but it is no longer upgraded or havign phones sold for it. I prefer the good old digital of cdma and tdma but gsm is the newer language for everyone to speak with. I also hooked up my 6310i last night with my hs-820 bt headset. I am about performance and reliability i don;t care how fancy it looks . But then again i do own a Lexus. lmao great discussion guys , i am learning as i am sure others are watching also.
  5. read the FAQ i wouldn't pay $2000 for a 92 or 93 Come to Canada and buy an ES they are cheaper here by far. Same price as the states but Canadian currnency
  6. I would find out why it is moving slowly first, it may be off the track or need a basic alignment causing it ,which will cause it to burn the motor
  7. ok , by golly ,i think i got it. If the problem is pretty consistant at a certain speed it is more than likely a cruising speed, correct? I would think the gas is fine or it would be consistant across the board for issues. Since the 97 and up is common to be found with egr iacv carbon build up , i would suggest cleaning the egr as it is built up with carbon and is sticking causing the hesistation stalling sensation as it unsticks again. try it and let me know, you can replace it but it is usually easy enough to clean. btw do you have any hot restart issues?
  8. reflashing an ecu isn;t hard for people who know how but a drive by wire system is finiky enough already to start changin any codes in that thing., sorry i can't help more
  9. Unless you find a reason of low feul pressure then i wouldn;t waste time changing it It is not like a small one for regualr cars it is huge. Most dealers do not even stock them as they hardly ever get replaced. I changed mine for a waste of time and $60
  10. I know in a 96 and 97 and am pretty sure up from that year on a 1mz-fe engine ,their is 3 plug wires which are for the rear plugs, the front ones are all coil on plug so they do not use wires.
  11. I would only take it to a tech and get a compression test, and see how bad or good the fluids are. As well as heaving the valve cover removed to look for sludge properly. $3000 is ok but not if you are spending another $3000 to fix it , Save up and buy a newer one later, your purse willl thank you
  12. No distributer cap or wires on the front of a 97 Does it miss at that speed even if you press the gas pedal a little more?
  13. glad to help pete Is it me or is that pic on a street that needs to be renamed a potr fro boats? Their is no ashphalt just water!
  14. 1/2 a quart should not set of the light ,i would think sludge is hindering the pressure switch as well as the oil pump and sump use an engine flush at the next oil change
  15. Airbags can be ound cheap, i just got another back up one from eaby for $20
  16. make sure the tranny kick down cable is attached beside the throttle pedal cable on the throttle body assmbly
  17. it is just a metra kit available from most audio store for 20-30
  18. do you have a check engine light on? If not then it is your dash that is broken
  19. try lubing the felt strip for reduced resistance
  20. You obviously have an elctrial problem from the pedals to the computer. Do the taillights come on when you press the brakes when you are having a problem?
  21. I like my slotted rotors, but they can be noisy if not made properly. They need to have a chamfered or beveled edge and are much better when it is a large curveed slot rather than a straight one. This way the pad isn;t jammed directly into the slot when it sweeps .
  22. Plecge works , i prefer the paint polish on the epoxy surface.
