  1. OK this should be a pretty straight foward question. I have a 1993 lexus es300. What battery is needed in the key for the key-less entry? A friend of mine droped the keys and lost the battery because of a missing screw.
  2. the injectors are wet and there is a gas smell in the car and out of it. It is especially strong while idling. Thanks for your response.
  3. I have a gas smell that I am pretty sure is coming from the front fuel injectors. I was wondering if I just needed to change the 2 seals and gaskets on the injectors or if I should replace the actual injectors also??? Thanks, Ryan
  4. I have a 93 es300 and was trying to replace the spark plugs. I got to the first one from the passenger side. Then the 2nd one up but not out of the cylinder. I just didn't have the clearence. I am thinking of taking the air intake plenum off to get to them. Has anyone else done this. What cables do you need to disconnect from the plenum?? Any Advice??? Thanks
  5. How hard is it to replace brake pads on a 93 es300? I have a little experience with cars just not brakes ( I replaced all struts and put in a new radiator in the last year) Thanks
  6. I just installed a radiator. A tip I got from the board was to not disconnect the lines to the fan. This made it a little tricky to get the radiator in (thank goodness for help), but I didn't have to deal with losing fluid. Also the bottom radiator hose is a little tricky (just a warning). Also put the color of collant in that comes out. Red and green are not compatible. It took about 2 hours with 2 people, but I am not too experienced with cars and wasn't alot of help, so it could take you less time.
  7. Sorry I don't know what sized the speakers are. But if you don't mind I have a couple of questions for you. Where did you put your amps? under the seat or both in the back Also do you know how the front 3 speakers are wired? Did you leave in the orginal wiring or did you take it all out and just used the back of the stock radio for the signal? Thanks PS How do you plan on powering the dash speakers?
  8. I had the same problem. I just have it so it is tight and don't use it. So let me know if you can get it fixed easy. Thanks
  9. I believe that it was red, but my friend had a toyota and used green so we assumed green would work fine.
  10. I had a cracked radiator and just replaced it. The crack was on the top so my car wasn't really overheating just losing coolant. I have a 93 and havn't had any problems with the fan, but I havn't really noticed when it kicks in. My temp gage rarely goes above half way though so I think that you definatly have a problem that you need to fix. Sorry I can't help more.
  11. I have a broken antenna and am trying to fix it. I took off the motor casing to get the broken plastic out, but where is that supid nut to get the antenna out so I can replace it?????
  12. I just replaced my radiator and put green coolant in it 93. From reading other post I think that red is perferable. Am I in troulbe??? Should I flush and put in red?
  13. bbsal or any others Just wondering how you set up your componet speakers. Did you take the signal from the head unit or the stock amp? Are you using a different amp to drive them or just the stock one? Also are the stcok speakers in the front in series for all three? I remember someone saying that they all recieved full range out sound, but also that their are cut off in the amp. Thanks
  14. I used the green. I read the other post about red vs. green and it sounds like red is definatly perfered. I just had my water pump changed with my timing belt a couple of months ago. Should I do a flush and put the red stuff in??????
  15. I have the same problem with a 1993. When the engine is cold it is very slow to respond it usually takes 10 min to get to normal . Any more suggestions would be great.
