I think that person on ebay is a prick. He doesn;t care once he gets your money and will not help you ,kind of like a domestic manufacture. Try tap they should have one cheap. Always ask all questions before a sale not after you have one it , this includes if the thing works and in a certain way also for damage. MAKE SURE they do not use UPS they are scam artist who love to over price/lose/damage things. Check the feedback to see if the person is a buyer or a seller. You are breaking new gound for this fourm and an ES250 as no one seems to be on here who works on the first gens. I would read the write up i made in the tutorial section to replace brakes on later ES's it may be the same or atleast very similar.

Hey if you have one tranny problem i wouldn;t wait for a full maintance procedure. Get a flush and replace with somthnig like amsoil synthetic ( but not mobil 1 )also clean the filter screen

I would find out how expensive it is to get the parts from a wrecker whihc may be cheap. You already know what it is but if the parts don;t move normally it will eventually seize and may cause other problems

If you return it to Canada tehn it is worth more as it will haev a KM reading and labeling for Canada rather than miles and such on an american vehicle. In the states the used vehicle market was big on buying vehicles from Canada for a big price difference. Now it is not like that though as that market has dried up.

get a tranny flush not drain and replace all fluids, i recommend amsoil synthetics i like them in mine with a similar problem. hasn't gotten worse. Also added an external filter to catch the small clutch debris the stupid screen will never catch which will clog passages and solonoids.

most won;t work on a lexus but should change the oil as it is usually a distance reason not a price ,sort of.

2 totally different thigns eric the seatblet one is in the dash, it can usually be removed by tracing it deep into the bowels of the dash. NO ONE CAN SAY WHAT YOURS IS ERIC, YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR IT BY YOURSELF. it is nto original equipment so you need to listen and trace it back.
