  1. Thanks very much for the info. I've checked out the prices and availability and (gulp) they don't come cheap. Price out at $900 less a $50 rebate. Bridgestone LS-v's are about $700 for the 4 after a $100 rebate. I'll check out my tire pressure and post it here soon.
  2. We've reached 30k miles on our 2004 Sport LS430 and need new tires. We need the softest tires we can find because we find the Sport ride too harsh for our taste. We have Dunlops on now. Our service writer told us that he thought the Dunlops were the softest, Bridgestones middle, and Michelin the hardest. Is this correct? Can anyone recommend a good but soft tire for the Sport LS430 with P225\55R17 size. We've seen the Bridgestone Turaza LSV and it looks pretty good but need help and recommendations. Thanks for any comments.
  3. On a recent trip through the wilds of Southern Oregon and up through Crater Lake we consistently got wrong advice on turns and directions. It works fine in more populated areas but was really innacurate in the countryside, at least in Oregon. It wasn't the location indicator that was wrong; the indicator was right on most of the time and was quickly corrected a few times when it drifted off the mapped highway. The problem was the voice instructions: out in the forest we got frequent advice to make left turns and right turns where there were no roads or intersections at all. Again the map indicator was mostly correct but the advice was way off. The weather was rainy and overcast but still the map indication was mostly correct. Needless to say we are disappointed that this thing wouldn't work one of the times when we needed it most! Anyone else have this experience?
  4. We're on the verge of buying an '04 LS430. The gas prices have us reeling! We know that the specs say premium gas is necessary just like they did on our Lincoln Navigator. But people at the Lincoln dealer told us to use regular gas and we have for 3 years without problems. Does anyone operate the LS430 with lowest grade fuel?
