  1. Do the lights dim when you try and raise or lower the window? I might not be suprised if the window has come off the rail halfway and it jamming itself, especially if it is getting hot , so that would mean the motor is getting power from the switch .
  2. hmm funny i never checked the camry to ES model handles but i know a chrome LS handle kit was a different shape from my ES.
  3. ifit is unbrunt it depends how high it is probably a bad cat since it is the clean up for all extras that a bad oil burning engine car even pass emissions tests with a good cat ,belive me i know . A motorvac can help considerable but unless an injector is leaking badly or a non firing cylinder then it is the cat.
  4. change your cables from the battery to the starter main ground on the tranny and under the battery tray.
  5. I find it funny as i am a brit a Canadian and Hate a dumbass like Bush. Any president who proclaims " i am a war president with war on my mind " is an infinate moron who can only lead someone to their death. Reminds me of the thing all mothers say. If your friends jump off a cliff are you going to do it also >? Bush jumps but saves himself by having a noose around his neck.
  6. If you had searched for a few minutes you may have noticed that within the past few weeks their is common answers to this simple fix try the words idle or iacv
  7. Agreed with the warr problems and Nissan is being asses with not helping owners with anything but blanket regret statments. But for the price of the car it is a great car to beat up and trash.
  8. Walmart does it for $60 but i use their shop and clean everything myself before i start work by flushiung the flush machine with a liter of fluid. Lots of other places around for about that price never mind that is a Canadian price as well.
  9. SO agreed not everyone wants to rip apart ehir dash , besides before he mentioned it a few people ( myself included) never knew it was that simple. It is not like he is being an !Removed! and saying come to my shop and for $200 he will fix it,he told you how for free which is a comendable thing in todays market
  10. How do you know they are not working?
  11. for a 2001 i highly doubt it has bad cv joints their are specialist shops that have better than average balancers which cost (here) $100 to mount and balance a set of wheels but it si truly an extraordinary device . If they where balanced then i would get the rotors checked also Is their a specific speed you feel it more? does it make the wheel shake when slowing down ?
  12. Drive the G35 first as many people complain the seats are very uncomfortable after an hours drive and Nissan is no help for some owners severe pain from a bad design
  13. A flush is a flush the word power denotes nothing just as a shortram intake does not mean anything A drain is just that, open a bolt drain and fill a flush uses a machine to let the engine cuirulate the fluid until hot the cycles out the old fluid replacing it with new completly as no drain and fill can do.
  14. Do you have an aftermarket alarm? How long have you had the car ,it may be their and you don;t even know causing the gremlins.
  15. if the clicking does not get louder by alot to almost a clunk it is not the cv anythign can make a noise a rock a nail or anythign else stuck in the tire as well as brake component
  16. It all depends onhow it feels to you. I prefer the lincon to drive but prefer the lexus to own and maintain as it is much cheaper to. Basically if you get a deal on a car something is wrong with it ,period. So for a good condition lexus you WILL pay money for but a rough shaped one will be cheaper. If their are wear and tear issue is probably wasn;t taken care of. The lincnon probable was dealer serviced and hardly driven. good luck
  17. get an inline tranny filter as well it worked wonders for my tranny which was on its way to the dump before
  18. If a cv is bad you only hear it clicking when the car is turning unless it is really bad tehn it will click going straight but the car will vibrate badly on the highway.
  19. Oh god ,another "back in the day it was good enough" please if you can enlighten people as to why besdies your "I DON'T THINK" attitude . Back it up with facts to make your point otherwise your opinion on how something your obviously don;t know or understand it fruitless !!!!! If engineers went with that thinking we would all be driving model t's since it was good enough before, who needs anythign more. Disprove me if you can. A tranny flush removes all fluid by coupling to the transmission cooler lines. As the engine is run and the tranny fluid heats it will start to cuirculate better as it does this the primary heat switch open to allow full fluid circualtion which is anotehr reason why a drain will never remove all old fluid. When the pressure is at its max the machines cuircit opens the loop and redirect all the fluid from its container to the car and all the old fluid is now removed into a disposal bucket. After a few minutes it will totally dispose of all old fluid and replenish it with your choice. So why the hell would it be a good idea to keep old fluid????? Yeah i thought so Sorry to sound so annoyed but it is annoying to answer something with education as an automotive technition to be told by a shadetree it is anotehr mastermind scheme by the man to get your money. I have no problem with discussions but put up proof not your mouth.
