I also had codes from the valve body being plugged causing the sensors for pressure to activate a cel since they were not receiving any.

Check your fuses, most if not all cars have seperate fuses for a cig lighter of about 15 amps on their own cuircit to prevent overloading. To answer the other question of how a cig lighter pops out , it has a spring and a grovved edge when you press it in it locks ,as the coil is heated by current through the filament it causes the edge to move away and the spring pushed it out and stops the current causing ti to start cooling and be available to use.

You made a bfi which is old school for supras and soarers/sc300/400's I find it hard to belive any es holds anything envermind its own with a wrx. If you like ti then that is all that is needed.

flush the fluid and add an inline tranny filter I did after having the same problems and it has now cleared up to almost nothing. From being stranded quite a few times from a plugged filter. The filter in the tranny is useless and does not stop anything but large particles the ones i buy are about 40 and attach to the tranny cooler lines and remove debris and metal fragments which caused my valve body to get plugged up.

just stick a large metal magnet on your oil filter. If it can;t catch it or is not enough yo have major problems to have that much metal in cuircualtion

You are ingesting more air to the almost same amount of fuel thus causing a lean situation.

actually , don;t get it at walmart it was just a basic price point i was making. I wouldn't let them touch my car as i have more traingin than their whole service department as i am a technition not a mechanic. Their are lots of places around here which do it well and pretty cheap anywhere from 60 - 100 canadian.
