  1. How much did it cost you do this$?$
  2. Man, I wish we had AutoBahn in the U.S., if this was the case us LS owner's would be killing those cheap sports cars. :D
  3. Well, I used this Mequires Leather Conditioner on my 1992 Acura Legend and 1993 Lexus LS400 and in both cases it hardend up the leather. And, it says that it protects it from drying up from sunlight or hot weather. But good question about "is harder the leather the better the condition" I was thinking about the same thing but didn't knew where to start the topic.
  4. well, I think the noise sounds like as if it is an old Mercedes S-class. (1986 or lower-1992 or higher). I don't think that anyone's Lexus in here sounds as hard as those though.
  5. Mine is just like the one in the above picture.
  6. 1993, thats pretty hard to determine. I belive I have Italian. But go with 99lsguy get some samples first.
  7. I just bought mine 146,000 same issue here. The last owner told me that his machanic (specialist only in Imports) told him that it is costly repair but not something to worry about. My neighbor told me that this might also be caused by not changing the oil. Because his F-150 experieced this. And when I first had the oil change it was real black or OLD.
  8. How would one tell that lower ball joints are worn out, with and with out lifting the car up. What does it looks like after over used? I bought it when it had 146,000 miles and still does, do you think they had been replaced in the past?
  9. Nice car & kit, never seen gold rims like those though. But they are nice.
  10. Braheem, I have to say thats one hot Lexus you had there.
  11. I car alos vibrates throw the speed of 5mph-25mph real bad, kind of wobbles. At speed of 65-80mph the steering wheel goes free like it is dead and the cars vibrates real bad. Just had aligmnent and tires rotated. Guess I need new tires!
  12. http://www.circuitcity.com/searchresults.j...30&dupDept=null I have the 2nd on in a 1996 Camry. When the battaries were new I could get it from at least about 40-50 feet away. I had it installed by them as well. But here is link showing you how to DIY. http://www.diynet.com/diy/ab_security/arti...2271372,00.html
  13. Well, in gen. 1, I have heard that 1993 or 1994 are the best. Not saying this because I own one though.
  14. I think the age range of potential Lexus buyers increased because every year Lexus makes changes to LS or any other luxury models, it tends to grow more luxuries and expensive. As the production of LS is going I would not be surprised to see an ad titled “Lexus LS vs. Mercedes Benz S-Class vs. BMW 7-series.”
  15. All right here is the deal with the Gen. 1 remote keys. Want new ones, meaning adding another one; then guess what you will have to buy a whole new system with a key to go with it. For one key it is about $160 and once you get that there are no adding on keys. So, you must think ahead of time. So, if you want to then you will have to sacarfice about $350. On Gen. 1 cars you cannot add on more remote keys to your existing computer you will have to purschase a whole new one for the above price. "Would be alot cheaper to just go to, for example circuit city and get a remote security system (which unlocks and locks doors, as well as triggers if you bump the car) or just get a remote system under $100, which does alot more then just unlock doors 3 feet away from the car"
  16. Migirdech: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/!Removed!/driveHabits.shtml As you can see in the graph the ideal speed is about 45mph-55mph. About having MPG in upper 20's, wish I could get that much in city or hwy. But then again I have 146,000 miles. But there are alot of people in LOC with very low miles and with excellent maintaince history, they might get that much. Also www.fueleconomy.gov shows that LS400 should get 18mpg city, and 22mpg hwy.
  17. I'm gona try that on my LS, ok maybe first on my dad's camry.
  18. I agree with Lex Chick, if you have a very nice car you don't need very flashy rims.
  19. Mine are silver OEM, and I never seen any with white.
  20. Well, since we are on the topic of synthetic oil. I will put what ever you guys suggest, then what a local machanic tells me too; since you guys are the experts of Lexus. What is the right oil to put in a 1993 LS400 with 146,000.
  21. This is a past thread about "ERR" me and the thread aren't that much of help but I guess this problem is not very rare. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=7065&
  22. You know as a 17 years old Fast & Furious kind of guy, well a little: I have to agree with Blake918, these are very fast cars, considering that they weight around 4,000 pounds and so large in size but still look exceptional, unlike a town car or a Caddilac. They also have there own touch and a sensational interior with an outstanding style that one could tell from a mile away, "Hey there is a lexus sitting way over there."
  23. This is whats also new for IS300 if one is going to wait until 2005: 2005 Lexus IS300: Comprehensively redesigned lineup will confront BMW 3-series with a choice of rear- or all-wheel-drive, and sedan, coupe, and convertible body styles.

  25. No, I mean like wireless network or cable, sort of thing. Something that won't required a CD or a VHS tape. Something fancy thats out there right now for automobiles.
