  1. are you going to get her back today? make sure you keep us posted. :D
  2. you can use those cans of carpet cleaner, it dispenses foam and hase a hard plastic brush on the end of it for scrubbing. i use it all the time works great. you just need to vaccum the carpet as best as you can and apply and scrub that carpet foam into the carpet, (i add febreez as well) then let dry and vaccum it again, it comes out looking and smelling great. give it a try.
  3. i need to do that too, all of my leather is perfect besides my drivers side seat, is really worn out and has a small rip in the side, makes me sick looking at it everyday i would love to see pics of the new seat covers
  4. WOW thats amazing! i bet she's a beauty, have a pic of her.
  5. listen man. what i said was i have "heard" first hand from a lot of very reputable Lexus mechanics and enthusiast that said the LS fuel filter is not a big maintence item. that "they" have said it does not need to be replaced for a very long time, if EVER. don't fly off the boat. we are discussing, obviouly the forum is based on opinions, and the opinion i offered i gathered from very reputable sources, so i added them. if you feel differently (and you just like everyone else is entitled to his/her own opinion, thats what LOC is about) change your fuel filter, you aren't gonna hurt my feelings
  6. does tools for less sell refurbished tools, i think they do, but i'm not positve. those crappy units from walmart isn't even the same thing, those just move in a weak circular motion the PC oscilates it a much great strenth as far as sound, if i recall i think they sound about the same as far as loudness, i mean the pc isn't loud by anymeans, mine isn't anyway. kinda makes a soft vibrating sound but thats it.... i would contact tools for less and ask them, i think u might have a faulty unit. becasue the sound of it shouldn't even be soemthing you notice
  7. i need a master window switch. got one of those......
  8. cool thanks bud ha ha, yeah, i was thinking about buying it and boring it out. just tinker with it to see if i can get any gains out of it.
  9. ok cool, thanks for the info. hey why don't you copy your instructions and paste in the tutorials section. actually if you are gonna take some pics and stuff, then just wait to do it.. that would be a great addition to our tutorials section.
  10. i have a master switch, i rebuilt it with no luck, so i'm looking for a replacement. anyway........how do you get to the motor, it is insdide the metal door frame isn't it i mean i took the door panel off but......i didn't see anyway to get in there and get it out. i mean the hole is only about 8 inches wide and i couldn't access the motor......any tips.
  11. do any of you guys know off the top of your head if a 94 LS throttle body is any bigger than the 92? i'm almost positve its the exact same, but just need to verify.
  12. yeah that little button just sucks as far as performance, and reliablity, i like it though. just wish it was more efficient. i would never take my car to an audio/alarm place for them to work on it......if i'm gonna do something i'll do it myself..... i'll research unit and the wiring diagrams and schematics and do it myslef, that way i know its done right.......i just dont trust people to work on my car anymore, but thats just me........the only way i'll take it in is if there is no way i can do it myself, i'm an Avid diyer, and pride myself on it. but once again, thats just me and my opinion but anywho, whatever floats your boat yeah that chin idea is what i always do, its seems to work, don't know why though, i have no metal plates in my head, or even any fillings............
  13. actually no, it wouldn't be easier nor would it be cheaper personally i don't want anything aftermarket, hardwired, as far as electronics on my car, mabye i'm a little lame but i love the OE stuff ie....head unit, anti-theft, everything. i like the little button on the key too B)
  14. nice find army so how much money have you spent total (parts/labor) on that thing so far?
  15. look at the sticky at the top of the page in the LS forum, it has all you need to know and should look for, also do a search in the LS forum, its been talked about many many times, and you will find everying you need to know good luck
  16. i hard wired mine into the cigarette lighter power and ground wires. (not in my LS, in the Eclipse i used to have), but you can do it in any car, just take apart the assembly and splice into the wires, solder for a good connection I hid all the wires.. looked really clean
  17. do a search, there has been many reviews and/or oppions based on this. i personally have silverstars, love em
  18. is it the motor knocking? or just the oscillation you might not have the right counter weight on it. if its the motor, send it back........i have heard that some of those units sold online are refurbished.........not sure if that is your case, where did yo buy it BTW, i most often use 3 pads; white, black, and orange, but different manufacters have differnt color pads according to the abbrasiveness scale, so you can't just rely on the color for all applications when searching for the right pads, be sure and read. and i get em here (and they are in AR) http://www.topoftheline.com/ best prices i have found, if anyone has seen cheaper let me know, as i need to order some new ones.
  19. well then don't worry about it, i guess........if you want take a picture of it, then we can see if there is any way to hide/ fix it.
  20. i don't know.........but if you figure something our let me know. as i am interested in the same thing, my Keyless doesn't work past like 10 feet
  21. the struts are cheap, as well as the bushings........i personally would replace them both if you are gonna get in there.......it will be needed preventative maintenance for fruther down the road. the bushings are pressed in. you will have to either cut them out or heat them up to get them out
  22. good luck buddy. you actually might want to price some aftermarket cat back systems, it may be cheaper to go that route than OE. i'm not sure though. <_< i do know that those cats cost a pretty penny anywho, good luck to ya man, i'm sure you'll get her fixed in no time. :D
  23. sorry to "butt in" the RX forum.....but i would like to share on this comment sylvania silverstars are one of the best aftermarket replacement bulbs you can buy. as far as bright light and visibility for the halogen market, i haven't used any better (and i have tried about 6 different bulbs) i have had the same Silverstar bulbs in my LS for over 2 years.....and i drive with my lights turned on at All times. if you can get 2 years out of ANY halogen bulb nowadays your doing good. just wanted to share my thoughts. :D good luck
