  1. Those subs have to have a specific box size, but it doesn't have to be ported. They should fit. It might cost a lot to get a custom box built depending on your area.
  2. Somebody spilled coke or something into the buttons on the cd player for an is300. I tried using brushes and stuff and that didn't work so i took off the front cover and removed the buttons for cleaning. On the inside of the cover(where the buttons and stuff are) there are 3 clear plastic peices. I only noticed one under the hole/flap for the tape. I thought that it didn't come out but it did when I was cleaning. I then noticed 2 smaller clear plastic pieces. I can't figure out where the two small ones go. any help would be good.
  3. Thanks for the offer of help. I'm sure I can use some instruction. I ordered some pads from excell detailing
  4. I got the email back and they said that they do sell refurbished items, but they are clearly labeled and stamped by the manufacturer. I took it to a local shop and they said that it was normal and nothing was wrong with it. It is a reputable shop so I'll just trust them. Now I'm off to order pads and stuff.
  5. I started messing around with it and I found that most of the noise is a rattle on the black part that the handle attaches to. It is loose. Is it supposed to be? Even when I hold that tight there is a knocking sound in the corner. It isn't as loud though.
  6. Silvermate, I sent an email to toolsforless. Maybe you could look at it if you have time. I live in Little Rock off Kavanaugh. I tried to send you a private message, but I am not allowed. My number is 258-7174. We could arrange a time for you to see if it sounds normal. I would be really grateful. Thanks, Sam
  7. I got it at toolsforless.com. I think it might just be the oscillation. Are they louder than the cheap walmart type.
  8. It has been months. I didn't notice for a few weeks or I would have done something at the time. It isn't that bad. I can live with it.
  9. It's pretty loud. more of a rattle. I took off the pad and it still does it. It has a whine/squeal too. Maybe I should oil it? It is brand new. I just got it today. What type of pads would you recommend? I want to buy a kit or a few pads and a backing plate. I read the what first post and I want to get the types of pads recommended in that post.
  10. I just recieved a pc7424. It makes a knocking sound when it is running. Is that normal or do I have a problem? I am using the pad that came with it.
  11. Scratches are easy? I need that explained. I have an is300 and a car audio shop scratched around the center console. It it hard plastic and it is gray. How can i fix or hide that?
  12. What are you talking about when you say wax the wheels?
  13. My car is outside 24/7 and I am wondering if a car cover will help keep it clean or will it damage the finish?
  14. WD40 is NOT flammable. If you get the regular spray it is not. I aerosol makes it flamable. Like hairspray
  15. There is a much easier way to remove the back deck. After removing the upper section of the back seat remove the trim pieces that are between the deck and the rear windshield. You can just pull it off.(soimetimes it is hard to get a grip under it.) Then you just pull of the deck off (unplug the brake light) Also I've got to say that the speakers in an is300 are 25 watt toyota speakers. They sound good, but not good enough. I don't even want to get into all the modifications I've done to my audio. I don't have a single stock anything.
