there no major differences between 01-03 while 04 model have some major interior and exterior renovations. such as new front fenders and headlights, tail lights got different color, bigger rims and visible exaust tips compared to the 03 model

yeah it might be a time for the tune up, your spark might be too weak already.

ohhh check light on, didnt c this, get the error codes ASAP and please try to describe what kind of smell your exaust have

there are a lot of different reasons why this might happen you will have to provide more info about this. you also posted it in the wrong forum, i'm gonna move it to gs forum

one of the lights in the back is out. check both parkgin lights and stop lights.

for the beams you have to get h4 MTEC bulbs, i'm not sure about fog lights since i left the original bulbs in. MTEC set will not cost you more then 20$ i would not recommend changing fog lights since they might be vital sometimes:)

i dont give my car to any1 except my dad:) it looks like ur suspension is in the bed shape, go to your mechanic and ask him to test it out for you.

my gf has a 2004 accord and my mom has a 2003 camry and i have to say that a camry drives almost like my ls! new accord is also pretty good:) but not as good as camry.

my legend dosnt do any of the things urs does:) as to your lexus i dont think its that expensive, check the jbtasts thread about suspension. it costs around 300 for the springs and 200 for the strus and 100-150 for installation. engine mounts you havae to change completely since the rubber is bad and broken. this is time consuming operaion but it needs to be done otherwise the engine might fell a lil bit and touch the rack and prevent it from moving properly which will cause additional repair costs.

you can rebuilt you rack yourself with the lexus seal kit availabel for 70$ or you can buy a rebuild rack for 300$, it will cost you 2k only if you will go to the dealer and get a brand new progressive power steering system.

skyview what bulb exaclty r u talking about? headlight bulbs are H4 while stop light buls are 7443 you can find this info in any strauss or autozone in that book that they have it the bulb section , i didnt c any info on the bulbs int the users manual

its really hard to put a different bulb inthere 7443 bulb for stop signals as well as 7440 bulb have a very specific connector type so i dont really know how it is possible to put smth else there:) i use led bulbs and computer thinks that there is no bulb there and gives me that light on the dash but i just ignore it since i know that everything is ok back there since led lighs will last forever

why dont you use one of the existing pictures in the gallery and show me what hose you are talking about. is it the big fat oen that goes from the radiator to the engine?

btw my turning lights are also blue. looks really cool:)

i would recommend MTEC for the beams and philips or silvania for the rest of them.

the power steering pump problem is a the biggest problem for the 90-94 LS cars. you should change the whole pump since internal parts of the pump were affected by contamination when rubber parts in the pump desintegrated. if you wil do search you will find a lot of threads regarding this issue and most of the people ended up changin either pump or the whole pps set up

you better make a picture and attach it to the post and i will tell you for sure what it is.:)

what exactly is shaking? the engine or the whole car when you drive? if the whole car is shaking when you are driving then the problem is prolly in your tires. they are either unbalanced or have a bent rim. tune has nothing to do with the car shaking during the move. if the engine is shaking when the car is not moving then you have to to check engine mounts. rev the engine while its in parked position and check if the engine is about to jump out. if it wants to jump then you have to go under then car and check them more carefully. its a common problem on the old car

depends where you gonna do it. you dont have to do everything they tell you to do. just do things that are necessary. dealers just want your money. i went there once and it was a complete dissapointment i did a tune up b4 with oem party myself a week b4 i went to the dealer and imagine what they told me? that i need a tuneup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont know i prolly look like a dumb lame .... or they presume this about all customers!!! i would strongly recommend to stay away from the dealers if your car is not under warranty otherwise they will suck all your money! i wasted 100$ just to get "news" about tune up, bent rim and timing belt, while my car was in the perfect order and i wanted to check the tranny!!!!!!! they are the reason that i decided to do everything i can myself on the car. they charge too much money and they dont care about your car while it is there and you cant see what they are doing to it and what was change and what is not so you have to take their word for it while regular mechanics just dont know anything about those complicated cars!!! i have to tell mechanics what do to and how while paying them for this!!! those cars got more cirquitry then first space ship!!!

there couple generations of LS model out there I - years 90-94 II 95-97 III 98-2000 IV 01-03 V 04 - present they all differ in exterior so it is really easy to distinguish between them check pictures in the gallery.

95 is gen II and they have much less problems then gen I due to that they are younger and a lot of parts have been redesigned. i have 130k now and no major problems and i didnt change anyting except timing belt!!! one guy at work has a 2000 ls with 56k and my engine is quiter then his!!! GEN II LS rules!!! B)
