  1. my car doenst usually spins at start, with or without track. it might spin for a sec and thats it, but this doesnt mean that smth is wrong. ls is a very heavy car i have to agree to that so on slow speeds or from a start its hard for it to show itself but after 15-20 miles you cant compete with it. i'm not talking about the highway speeds. not many cars can beat ls on the 60-100 interval
  2. those fans are for A/C system, they have nothing to do with heat removal from the engine. next time the sound is gonna be there open the hood and listen to the engine with a screwdriver or any pipe and locate the part where noise is most evident
  3. LOL mr alexuzz decided to write on this. how r u doing ur majesty?:) you know it would be nice if you will come visit us more often:)
  4. lil hint. whwn u wanna race hold brake and gas pedals and start pushing gas while holding brake, then release brake you will notice difference. at least in my case it is working:)
  5. MB my friends mb s430 is the same as LS and we are on the same line. i alos rememberracing with bmw 328 on the highway at 80 mph and when i pushed the pedal to the metal i smoked it! of course cars like bmw 540 or mb s500 and e500 will kill me as well as GS400/430, but i KNOW that i can beat 95% of the cars outthere! and it feels good i have to agree with that :D
  6. i dont what you are talking guys, LS is not slow! i raced 99 honda accord coupe and 99 maxima SE with custom exaust and intake and acura legend iwht manual tranny. yes on 1st gear LS seems quite slow but once second gear kicks in no1 can even keep up next to LS!!!!! i also raced altima 3.5 and acura 3.2 cl on the traffic light and CL was able to keep up with me until 50 mph and afther this she was gone as well! and i have a stock LS. i just keep it up to date with maintenance!
  7. i have a 1996 LS and i dont have this problem, no matter how long and how fast i drive it doesnt die on me. it never died on me(knock on wood) but i'm not sure if it will fit your car
  8. if you want some quick access to the 95% full factory manual just sign up at www.alldatadiy.com for 25$ a year you will have all this info at your hands without spending 200$ on the factory manuals
  9. i got up to 145 and i got scared:)
  10. top speed by the manual is 156 mph newcr since 2000 are electronically governed to 131 mph
  11. i have a slight ticking too, since our engines are not vvti you have nothing to worry about
  12. i have been told that it is ok to drive with it. if you wanna fix it it will cost you around 400$
  13. im not sure if its possilble, the reason why lexus dumped nakamichi and went with mark levinson is because nakamichi was not compatible with lexus GPS system. i think 2k model with gps has mark levinson or pioneer and not nakamichi thus making any changes very difficult. its also really hard and expensive to do yearly updates due to that the whole unit has to be taken out and chip or harddrive has to be replaced, while in mb you just have to get a new cd
  14. your amp is behind the passenger front seat and you can find it for 150-200$. its really ez to install it and it takes 30 mins to do. your original system will not work with atermarket hardware. there is a site www.carstereohelp.com contact them for the quote for repair, bu b4 this check all connectors to make sure its not cables that causing this
  15. there is just been a post about it recently. search for broken wire inthe wire spool in the trunk
  16. installation is the same as in domestic cars and yeah you need metric tools to work on japanese car. i would recommend using oem parts such as toyota wires and denso plugs. ngk plugs are also fine but i would stick with denso and the model for denso plugs is IK20
  17. i have the same problem i also asked about this and was told to leave it intact. what you saw on a highway was a car with burned low beam bulbs and using fog lights as driving lights:) ive seen couple of those here in brooklyn where people are too cheap to replace the bulb sometimes
  18. i'm in college:) and i still got those iridium plugs. my supra TT guru friend told me they are the best and will last longer so you are saving in a long run
  19. hey blake i thought you got that 95 one already:) thinking of gettin another LS?
  20. when i got my car with 100k on em and lifted it up for inspection i noticed that my lower ball joints were brand new!!! but it means even with highway mileage they are tend to worn out around 100k
  21. i drive on 3rd in the city, car is much more responsive when i need sudden acceleration. as to the D.. in my case its same as 4th and this power/etc button doesnt do anything. i mean it does raise the rpm bar for shifting but same thing happens when you push the pedal to the metal. tranny uses same logic in both ways.
  22. i would recommend denso plugs, they are OEM suppliers for toyota. despite that ngk and denso is same brand they are like lexus and toyota:) i would recommend iridium denso plugs. they are the best out there
  23. i bough my 96 LS with 107k miles in a very dirty condition 2 years ago for 13200 at the auction and after taxes and fees it came to 14800. but at that time 96 LS on the dealer lots were at least 16-17 with the same mileage. so yeah even now i think its a good price, i was offered to sell mine with 130k for 12500 so i guess its a good price for a car but check records first
  24. thats a pretty nice car and a pretty big picture i have to say:) i have to scroll to the right to see it:)
