  1. also there is a way to reprogram your ECU for the faster speed it is highly not recommended plus it is illegal to do so and WILL void your insurance and warranty plus some criming charges in case smth happends.
  2. agre with sk perfomance, its just a dirty plunger
  3. once again its normal as far as i know my car does the same thing. when the car is in drive and i turn the ac on car jerks forward and i have to apply brakes to prevent it from moving:)
  4. forgot to attach the pic oops but here it is
  5. and then this :) (i just have to write smth to do the post, but the main info is in the pic:))
  6. 1) Connect LEXUS hand-held tester to DLC3, or connect probe of oscilloscope between terminals OXL1, OXL2, OXR1, OXR2 and E1 of ECM. (2) Start engine and warm it up with all accessories switched OFF until water temperature is stable. (3) Race engine at 2,500 3,000 rpm for about 3 minutes. (4) After confirming that waveforms of heated oxygen sensors bank 1, 2 sensor 1 (OXL1, OXR2), oscillate around 0.5 V during feedback to ECM, check waveform of heated oxygen sensors bank 1, 2 sensor 2 (OXL2, OXR2). HINT: If there is a malfunction in system, waveform of heated oxygen sensors bank 1, 2 sensor 2 (OXL2, OXR2) is almost same as that of heated oxygen sensors bank 1, 2 sensor 1 (OXL1, OXR1) as shown. There are some cases where, even though a malfunction exists, MIL may either light up or not light up.

  8. yeah it is too general, you just have to troubleshoot a lil bit deeper to get to the part that exactly gives you the problem. here is what the manual said: CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION The ECM compares the waveform of the oxygen sensor located before the catalyst with the waveform of the oxygen sensor located after the catalyst to determine whether or not catalyst performance has deteriorated. Air-fuel ratio feedback compensation keeps the waveform of the oxygen sensor before the catalyst repeatedly changing back and forth from rich to lean. If the catalyst is functioning normally, the waveform of the oxygen sensor after the catalyst switches back and forth between rich and lean much more slowly than the waveform of the oxygen sensor before the catalyst. But when both waveforms change at a similar rate, it indicates that catalyst performance has deteriorated
  9. cc me on the ppt as well pls:)
  10. 2k and above models are limited not due to the tire type but due to the US laws for the maximum speed. i think all cars that are allowed for street use in US cant go any faster. max speed of 95-97 LS is 156 mph.
  11. yeah u def should get a new pump, you just dont have to waste so much money on new pump, get a reman pump from autozone for 100$. couple of people from the forum did that and they are happy with the pump so far. the thing is that sometimes simple pump change might not help becuase pps system is contaminated with particles from the pump seals and it might take more then the pump to bring your sterring back to normal
  12. dont bother.... a steering wheel from gen III LS WILL NOT fit on gen II LS been there done this...:)
  13. this is def not battery. when power cuts off to the whole car you should check all the fuses as well as how many vots and ampers your battery is giving out. there might be a shortage somewhere near the starter and that is why the current voltage is dropped below minimal for all the electrical devices in the car. check starter relays and cirquitry as i think 90% the problem is there
  14. this is absolutely normal for 1uzfe, i would recommend turning the climate control off while engine is heating up. try not to drive until rpm drops to normal level.
  15. www.taprecicling.com for used parts. and that newlexusparts site they ship as freight as well so i dont think it would be a problem
  16. cmon there are like 20 different reasons why this track might be on. just get codes first. this is why this light is there - to tell you that one of the sensors is giving an error code. if you will get this code you will narrow your search dramatically. the bleeding 80% will not help. it just might be an elctrical problem.
  17. what happend to your stereo LCD? i remember seeing some1 posting s thread on how to change leds for the LCD stereo screen. but thats pretty it
  18. just get codes first and fix later. dont fix stuff that ain broken. to figure out what exactly is giving you the problem you need error codes. search forum how to get error codes for your year. once you will get the code some1 with the same year car and with the factory manual will tell you what exactly the code means and how to fix or troubleshoot it.
  19. LOL dont put ur OD to off what OD does is TURNS OFF the 4th gear....... how long were u driving at 6300 rpm? check for oil leaks at ur engine block might crack or seals might go bad if u were driving for a long time
  20. i dont know about any serious damage whentiming belt snaps in. engine will just stop and this is what happend to a friend of mine. you also can predict when water pump will seize since like 15-20k miles in advance it will start making this whining noises from the pulleys that will alarm you that the time has come. i personally like gen II-III Ls since they have the best shape. PS i have 132k miles on my 96 and it is still going strong and the only thing i changed was tmingbelt/water pump assembly and all filters.
  21. check ebay, its the ultimate way to get those parts
  22. the side with HOT mark is for the warmed up engine, so when the engine is hot check between the bars on the hot side and check the cold side otherwise.
  23. def change caps and rotors, these parts are cheap and ez to replace and they tend to have wear inside
