  1. prolly 98 with the Gen III coz mine in 96 ls is still not one touch
  2. yeah there is a gas tank between the trunk and the seat so the only place where you can put subs is where your origina sub is. you can drill another hole for an extra sub or to put a bigger sub. IMHO what that guy in the link did is a waste of everyting. you cant hear the bass clearly if you locate them where he did.
  3. they just as reliable as others:) i read some of this bs on sites as well, but on very few of them, most of the sites give positive good reviews.
  4. ok here is what you do, you just go to strauss and get the one you like and the one thats gonna fit your car. no modification is necessary. just leave the cashier your license and you can take the part and bring it to your car to make sure its gonna fit. there is no part number and total for 2 tips is 14$
  5. hey, its the first time i hear about a gen II LS without nakamichi with CD changer. can you make a pic of the headunit and glovebox?
  6. well :) a lot of things are prohibited in NY. but.... they let it go. you cant even have tint in your car according to the law but you will get a ticket for the tint only if you *BLEEP* off the officer really bad
  7. plus i will not drive my ls on a regula basis i think i will getmyself smth like mitsubishi galant 2000 for like 4k and ls is gonna be my project car:)

  9. i rarely use those fule thingies coz i think they dont help much. i will do my throttle body when its gonna get wormer here

  11. get new mufflers....:) im thinking bout that too but i'm gonna change whole exaust system and get rid of those catalitic converters to let my engine breath
  12. i'm in love with m300, actually when i went to the auction to get a car i was looking to get m300 and i almost got it but somehow i ended up with LS400:) but m300 is awesome! with 290 hp this car rips!
  13. nah jen 3 has different engine, VVTI was introduced, ignition is fully electronic and each cylinder has its own coil. transmission is also new. most of the inside electronics were changed as well. side airbags were added etc etc. gen II and III only look alike while they are different cars inside....

  15. there were not enuff differences to make it second gen officially 90-94 is 1st gen 95-97 is 2nd gen 98-2k 3rd gen 2k-2k3 is 4th gen in 95 car became wider, lighter and got redesigned engine with 20 more HP while the body was changed dramatically as well as a lot of electronic parts. power steering problems and dash problems were also fixed only in 95 and only this was sufficient enuff to make it gen II
  16. on a way back from work everything seemed to be fine. i think it might be moisture since it was really humid and worm inside the garage and car was parked outside whole day in the snow so when i got back from work i parked it in garage and didnt even removed snow from the car:( since i was too tired. might it be some moisture condensation in the rotor/caps area?
  17. nah its not water pump, i can give the engine 5k rpms and it works fine, i thought it might be the moisture condensation in the rotors/caps assembly. but after revving engine this didnt go away.:(
  18. mine was 600 yesterday as well, but it snowed here yesterday and i dont know if it might be the cause
  19. yeah, its been done less then a year ago:( i will watch into this matter tnite when i will drive home and in the next couple of days. i wanna see if its gonna happen again
  20. hey guys, i was just driving to work and while i was standing on the stop sign engine just died. it started right away but still what could cause this? i also noticed that idle rpms were between 400 and 500 which i think is too low. any ideas?
  21. doent look like the car is moving..... picture is too clear for 150mph
  22. yeah, you are not the first one who have this problem, i gave it to couple of people already. somehow sensor1 on bank2 usually goes out first.
  23. i use water, i just close everything electrical with plastic bags, then spray it with engine cleaner and leave it for 15 mins. after this i srpay it with water till the cleaner is gone, remove the bags and start the engine. i keep it on until all the water evaporates then stop the engine and spray it with the engine paint. you can see results in the gallery
