  3. as far i know i have a timing belt on my 96 ls 400 i think we have the same engines. i checked on parts.com and they said its a timing bell and dealer gave me a price quote for it and its around 80$ but the labor will be much more, like from what they told me i need to change 3 belts, water pomp, all spakr wires and spark plugs, PCV valve, fuel filter and some other things i forgot, (i got the list at work), but this all together with net prices on parts from the dealer and labor from my mechanic will cost me around 800-1000$ so be ready to spend these money if your car has 100-120k miles
  4. i was just shopping for new tires yesterday, my size is very expnsive for some reason, its like at leat 90$ for a 225/60/16 tire, but i think mishelins are the best, i got myself a cooper tire with V rating and this is what you have to take, it might be lil ruff, but it will last longer and it is rated for speeds up to 150, i got myself cooper tires, people understimate them for some reason, i know they dont look good on lexus but hey, if you want to pay extra 100$ for each tire then of course othewise my choises were dunlop and cooper, i want them to last a year and then i want to transfer to 18 inch rims. suprisingly when i changed tires today i felt that the steering wheel turns much easier and car handles better then with my old goodyears Eagle GT II. my local dealer gave me free warranty for 2 years, and free whill alignment anytime and free tire swapping. very good deal for 500$ that i paid for tires and installation all together.

i tried toyota, but they said that they need access to lexus network and lexus blocked them, they cant do anything without part numbers and checkin VIN number, lexus had couple of engine revisions during 1996, so they are not sure which one i'm
