  4. element4eva, The speakers may be almost blown/disintegrated from heat & sun, this happened to my rear speakers. Perform a test with a small 4ohm working speaker, buy a small inexpensive (signal) speaker at wal-mart . Connect the working speaker to the (+/-) wire connections in the trunk. Hear a clear sound coming from the small speaker your OEM speakers are blown. Click on link below for step needed in replacing rear speakers. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=36346&hl=

  8. Demented Sc400, I have Falken ZE-512 on my Sc400, they been great for 3,000 miles. http://www.vulcantire.com/ze512_60_t.htm
  9. erukian, I personally would NEVER commit to any car purchase, without having it inspected/test driven. Yes I think $4800 is still too high because of the listed problem you mentioned in your first post. The car may have more problems, but you wont know this until you drive/inspect the car. As far as parts and there price, let just say it may cost more then the $4800 your willing to part with, but it is your money to spend not mine. Good Luck!
  10. erukian, Her listed price is TOO HIGH. All because it's a rare 5-speed, don't look desperate into buying this car, test drive it and have the car inspected for any major mechanical repairs. Major repairs/parts are pricey for Lexus cars. Here is a link that list common problems found with the Sc. http://intellexual.net/faq.html Kelly Blue Book Excellent $5,220 Good $4,680 Fair $4,035
  11. Toyofreak, I say you made out like a bandit...Congrats on your purchase and welcome the Sc club. Now lets see some pictures of your new baby. Kelly Blue Book Excellent $8,315 Good $7,595 Fair $6,660

  14. sc4sooner, It's the cd player unit. I've detected that Cd's that have no cover or face label tend to skip frequently. Memorex CD-R work good in my 95. In addition Rewritable (CD-RW) will not work at all, in the Sc cd player unit.
