  1. :D BRAGGING RIGHTS! :D Something you LS owners will like to hear, in this article by Consumer Reports (April 07) the LS model is MOST RELIABLE. Congrat, from a Sc400 owner
  2. CCG, Found a couple, http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=306510 or http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=32213 And here a picture you can click on.
  3. starkz, Looks like you need a number of replacement parts. Join http://www.clublexus.com and you will find all the used parts quickly from the classified section. Look for the reliable vendor aliga. He goes by that name here and at clublexus too, so you can send him a message on all the parts you need. The link below is the most recent post on a sc that he is parting out. Congrat on your new purchase and Good Luck with your part search. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268545
  4. Air Force Rascal, Did this happen all of a sudden, or did you replace any clusters on the instrument panel? If all of a sudden, you may have to replace the speedmeter cluster, read the following links from Clublexus, to see if this helps decipher your problem. If you replaced the speedmeter clusters, make sure the car is on level ground. "It's all technique, so keep fiddling with it until the speed need to sit on zero and not below." Quote provided by clublexus member O.L.T. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...dometer+cluster http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...dometer+cluster http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...dometer+cluster
  5. 'SuperCoupe400', My BIG gripe also, unable to rotate the tires. Tire tread lasts longer when your able to rotate.
  6. fmadeo1, Here is a picture of and Sc 300/400 engine compartment, with an out line of the air filter (the box shape in lower left corner.) Look for the ribbed black tubing connection to the filter box, as the picture illustrates.
  7. fmadeo1, Don't know if this will help you? I own a Sc 400 and my air filter box is located behind the head light on the passenger side. You think they would place it in the same area as an Sc 400, but you never KNOW with Lexus. If your battery is located in the trunk Lexus might have put it on driver side behind the headlight. Just look for a enclosed box shaped like the picture of the OEM for a Sc430 below. One more guess, which I hope they would not dream of doing, but it could be located under the front (left/right) end of the car . Meaning you would have to take the splash gaurd off to locate.
  8. DRAGUNOV, Take a look at the links below, and see if these help you with your Tack problem? http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...ght=tach+needle http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...ght=tach+needle http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...ght=tach+needle http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214801
  9. 'DRAGUNOV', The tach Cluster (light) is not working, or the RPM needle does not move when driving the car?
  10. "Now when I drive the lexus, I cant help but feel that it is far from sporty. nice? of course. valued? very. and with a little work better looking, but can I make my sc400 feel more sports oriented. Is this car destin to be a luxery cruiser and continue to get spanked on the back roads by my pgt, or with some money can it be all that I hoped for?" deanp, My advice is to you, sell the Sc and save your money and buy Porsche Carrera. That will beat your ford probe gt on the back roads.
  11. eddie187, $11000 is too high for a 93, especially if by owner. A dealer tack on another $1500 to the figure below. Pricing provided by http://www.kbb.com Private Party value Condition Value Excellent $8,345 Good $7,755 Fair $6,985
  12. trendxkore, I'm pretty sure the seats from ALL Sc 300/400 are interchangable. Check out this link below , it list all the updated features from 92 thru 00. http://intellexual.net/sc400.html#95
  13. 'DRAGUNOV', click on the link below for fixing the gauge cluster. Could you explain in more detail, how your odometer is acting when you are driving? http://lextech.org/osCommerce/
  14. jimbrem007', Check out what this Sc owner did to his wood trim, he repainted the trim Gunmetal. It looks really nice.
  15. TexasComputerMan, If the other 2 posts, still hasn't solved your problem? Try this, when putting the key into the lock and the function settings stop. Push in the key at the same time turn the key back (counter clockwise) Then forward (clockwise)
  16. 94BLKSC400, My personal opinion, stick with the original light tan color. Two tone interior does not look good in a Sc.
  17. AdamLexus, If your not a member of http://www.clublexus.com/forums/index.php already then join. They have a couple of vendors in the Sc 300/400 classifieds section http://www.clublexus.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36 Name of the vendors aliga & R & J Dist you can PM (personal message) your request and they will repond (if they have the item) quickly with a price including shipping. Aliga is a new member here so you could also PM your request from this site. Good Luck!
  18. lexo80, Sounds like a reasonable price too me, for 2006 rims and seeing you won it on Ebay. I'm assuming the wheels are in excellent condition with no scuffs/scratches? Include the link from Ebay so we can all see your new rims.
  19. SW03ES, I didn't KNOW, but thanks for setting me straight.
  20. turbo6, According to this link: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...+fit+a+92+model from ClubLexus post #7, YES they do fit. As far as the price, I guess it depends on usage/mileage. You can PM (personal message) aliga is a NY vendor for ClubLexus & Lexusownerclub and always seem to have Sc parts and good prices. Good Luck
  21. SW03ES, Why where the OEM (Goodyear GT+4 uni-directional) tires on my Sc, so more nosier then the current Falken Ziex Ze-512 (directional)? Both the tires mentioned are All-Season. Picture of the Goodyear GT+4
  22. mannye, For a quite ride DIRECTIONAL TREAD is a MUST. I currently own the Falken Ziex ZE-512 (225/55R16/95v) on my Sc400. They are Rated High by Consumer Reports & Customer Reviews. Other tires with high marks to consider are: Yokohama Avid V4s and Bridgestone Potenza R3950. Keep in mind, these are all V-rated tires. Good Luck in whatever you decide.
  23. 95_SC400, Contact aliga or R & J Dist with a personal message, they are vendors at clublexus.com They are always getting OEM parts for Sc models. Aliga (club members' name) is already a member of this forum. R & J Dist is not you have to go to this site to deal with him: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36. They both are eastcoast vendors, I see your located on the westcoast shipping might be pricey. :cries: Good Luck!
  24. dcfish, BRILLIANT! You have a CD unit FOR SALE and yet you conveniently/FORGET TO LIST YOUR PRICE. That can only mean one thing....IT IS NOT CHEAP! :P CAPITALISM RULES! :P
