  16. DaveMcKenz, My 95 SC400 OEM CD unit plays CD-R fine, but will not function with the CD-RW (Rewritable) verison.
  17. homemechanic, The leak might be from a bent rim lip? If yes the question is it worth the cost of repairing, here is a link that may help with your decision. Another problem is pinholes in the aluminum that make air leak from the tires. This process requires dismounting the tire from the rim and sealing the pinholes. http://automedia.com/Aluminum_Wheel_Repair/ccr20021201aw/1 http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enthusiast...A9164.html?pg=1
  18. DaveMcKenz, Just remove a few bolts on the fender splash guard, use a flaslilght to locate the corner light casing. Turn it counter clockwise to gain access to the bulb.
  19. lazyjones, Here is a link of a step by step process of speaker removal of a SC430. Post #2 show the speaker specs., looks like you will be able to use aftermarket speakers. http://clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288367
  20. 100mgbluepill, It sounds like there is a problem with the transmission, if the car is not shifting properly from 1st to 2nd. I would not purchase this vehicle or a SC for that matter, if you don't want to put a lot of cash into the car. The maintenance and parts etc. are expensive with any Toyota/Lexus car purchase. Good Luck, with your car search.
  21. BoogrensSC400, They are not chrome, but the stock rims from the IS250/350 look really good on the SC. This site has them at a good price. Enter number 741891F-r to bring up the rims. http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/cgi-b...e/web_store.cgi This link below offers the custom variety of rims. http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/cgi-b...amp;model=SC400
  22. pinkpear, If you want longer tread life, stay away from the Summer Ultra High Performance tires and go with All season tires. Click on the the link below and then click on the Uniform Tire Quality Grading (UTQG). http://www.1010tires.com/tiresfilter.asp
  23. inssane, They are the park lights and the bulb number is 168 or 194. To remove the bulb, turn counter clockwise until it unlocks. Its a small/tight area to reach the enclosed casing. I hope you have long skinny fingers, if not try using small pliers. Good Luck!
  24. cashSC300pit, This is probably the problem, click on links below. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286959 http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200819 You will also have to take the lower portion of the interior door panel off, click on link below. http://clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109384
