Kickmee6, This link has all your answers. http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html Check this site and search for common problems http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ http://www.clublexus.com/forums/search.php?searchid=3161822 "What are some common maintance repairs, and when do they usually arise? the link has a list of common problems. Check this too: Turn on the stereo system, make sure speakers/amp and CD Changer are functioning. this link shows steps on taking out and what can be fix. Make sure Stereo/AC LED readouts have on bleeding, information is visible. http://web.archive.org/web/20041217095309/...SC300CDCgrR.htm Are the repairs costly? Yes it a Lexus At a high mileage, is the car still reliable? Yes if properly maintained (ask for records), but try to find one under 150,000. What are some warning signs that i should avoid?" An Sc that has numerous common problems you will see in links. Fixing all the problems will cost more than the Sc value.
  2. lexusridinhot16, the headlight turn signal is located in front of the air filter box the red dot in the picture. Its a tight fit, if you have big hands? Get hold of the fixture and turn counter clockwise, its a slight turn pull out casing and bulb. To change the fog light the following is required: the way I changed the foglight bulb was: first time doing this job: Jack & take the front wheel off (optional but it will make the job easier to complete) 1. Take a few of the bolt to the front fenders' splashguard off, pull the splash gaurd back and wedge it against the front tire. Making sure the tire is pointing in the direction of engine bay. This wll give you access to the fog light casing. 2. The foglight will be enclosed, with a circular plastic cap. Turn it counter clock-wise to open the casing. 3. This will give you access to the bulb and socket. In the casing is a white plastic, the bulbs wire fits snug into the socket. I had to wiggle and tug, until I disconnected the wire. 4. Note there is a clasp holding the bulb in place do not open the clasp. Disconnect the the bulb from the socket first...because the clasp keeps the bulb from droping and getting in your way. To open the clasp, I believe you push down and it will unfasten. 5. When replacing the buld with a Holagen\ Xenon type of bulb DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS with your hands it shortens the life of the bulb.

  5. carbophat, It's probably sticking, being bolt down for many years. Did you try going through the trunk, removing the liner pushing up on the sub and did you unplug the third brake light connection (for Sc300 models)? I removed my rear speakers several years ago, make sure as I did in step 8 that your +/- are disconnected and any clips/wire harness connectors are not fasten. Link of my removal post 2 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=51847&hl=
  6. 95sc400nproud, Glad to hear you finally (after eight months) fixed the problem. Talk about being patient with a dilemma. I assume from the picture you mean the yellow object? Now do a DIY (do it yourself) step process on how to fix and post it.

  21. LexSC400328, Read post# 5, 9 & 13... As post 5 suggests watts, LED lights are Low Power (wattage) Draw. The car thinks there's a burnt out bulb. Post 9 informs the type/number on the bulb.
