  1. On the 06 models you had to do the "pedal dance" to disable the trac and stab control. On the 07 models, holding the button down for a few seconds does the same thing. I can assure you that if you take that route, you can do donuts, and swing the tail out to your heart's content. The only thing is that you have to turn the stuff off every time you start the car.
  2. You could pull all the fuses for the related features, but I wouldn't recommend it. Why not try getting used to the car the way it's set up? You might be surprised.
  3. You da man. None of us, not a single one of us Lexus owners here knows *BLEEP* about cars. :censored:
  4. They should start a restaurant there. On another note, I'm really happy the Japanese didn't "copy" the German cars' electronics. :D
  5. You just push the little buttons down on the fastners and they should pop right out. Take the front one off first. On the side one, there is one fastener inboard near the battery that you have to turn like a little nut till it's loose and then pop the cover off. The original fasteners are kinda easy to bend or break. I replaced mine with some stronger ones I got at NAPA.
  6. Harley's are ok, but I prefer the Japanes Fastass Subitchi myself. BTW, what is that dog doing sleeping on your dash?
  7. You have to put the fogs on a separate circuit. We know how to do it on the IS300 but I don't know for sure how to do the 2nd gen cars.
  8. If you're getting less than 18 MPG in even the worst city driving, then there is something wrong. If you get a chance take the car out on the road with a full tank and drive about 200 miles and fill up and see what you get for road miles.
  9. is there anything exceptional about the awd 250? Nothing that I can think of other than it's good in snow. It's just a little slower than the RWD due to AWD. When the new generation IS first came out I tested the RWD 250 and liked everything but the power so I bought the first IS350 that arrived at the dealer. I'm very happy with it and still really impressed after almost a year and a half.
  10. Pricing info here: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=34315
  11. If speed is that important, then it has to be the IS350.
  12. the site is no longer uin use any other sites that wouls help??? any help at all is greatly appreciated The URL's were recently changed. Here's the go faster (boosted) forums. http://my.is/forums/f114/
  13. That guage is pretty much usless. When you push on the gas pedal it would naturally read lower as it thinks you are using more gas. When you lift off the pedal it will read higher as if you are coasting, you are using very little gas. The higher the number, the more miles per gallon, hence the higher reading when coasting.
  14. Not sure if the sensors are covered, but people have been needing to replace them around 70,000 miles. I think the cats are covered though. There should be a booklet that came with the car that tells the specific items in the emissions warranty. If the previous owner had records of service, it didn't have to be done by a Lexus dealer to maintain the drivetrain warranty.

  16. If the IS350 isn't fast enough, then maybe you need a Vette or something. Seriously, if you start playing with nitrous, you're up the creek warranty wise.
  17. SRT makes more power than any other intake, but I'm not one to be messing with the ECU wiring. I've heard several horror stories about that messing up when not done exactly right.
  18. Not sure but it doesn't need to be real big.
  19. All you have to do is rotate the plastic cover about 3/8 inch (clockwise when standing in front of the car) and it should pop loose. No need to remove anything else just to change the bulb.
  20. There's a TSB on the high performance front brake pads and too much brake dust. If you complain, they're supposed to put on less dusty pads for free.
