  1. Dealers will turn them off if you badger them enough.
  2. It's in the owner's manual. You should have a hard copy or it's posted in the PDF files at the top of this forum. I get mine from Irontoad online. Also get the oil filters and engine air filters there at a good price.
  3. The tilt mirrors only work if the adjusting switch is in the proper postion. I don't remember which way it is, but I think it has to be in the middle, "off" postion. At any rate you can try it with the switch in different postions and find out.
  4. I was highly disappointed in the performance and handling of the TL when I drove it. After driving the IS350, there's no doubt which is the better car.
  5. Looks good. Nice system install.
  6. You get a one time free personalized settings by the dealer.
  7. The last ones I bought were the Philips 5000K from a guy on ebay.
  8. Dealer provided a certificate for it. It's a post delivery inspection. I had them adjust the headlights and make a change in the personal settings. It's pretty much to check owner satisfaction and fix any details that weren't caught at delivery or came up after you drove the car awhile. But what I was saying was that 1000 mile inspection does not call for an oil change.
  9. They're projectors and they have cut-offs. People have installed several brands of HID kits and not had beam problems.
  10. That's what I would have done if I didn't look at the manual. So why the warning in the manual? Other Toyota owners manuals show how to replace them. They must think Lexus owner's don't work on their own cars. They say the same thing for the 2nd gen IS but we've been doing our own HID conversions without much trouble. I changed the bulbs in my IS300 a few times playing with different color temps. It wasn't that hard. Maybe they think we're rich and incompetent. :D :D
  11. The disclaimers on brake pads and tires are pretty much in the ballpark.
  12. It's easy. Just turn the gray plastic cover a little and it will pop off. Then remove the silver plug (with the braided cable attached) from the bulb. Then pop the bulb holder wires out and change the bulb.
  13. Maybe sometimes you're inadvertently squeezing one of the buttons on the key when you shut off the car. I've done that before.
  14. Yes there's a 1000 mile inspection but we were only talking oil change here.
  15. Yep. No need to get all upset over a little hunk of plastic wrap. Could happen to anybody.
  16. They don't actually do special builds. They have to put an order in and then when a car that's to your spec gets made, they get it.
  17. 5000 miles is the schedule. If you want to change sooner that's ok too. I change every 3000 miles.
  18. Average wait time seems to be around 3 months.
  19. What do you mean by hazard light?
  20. Neutral switch for park or brake pedal switch may not be engaging. Might try moving the shifter back and forth a few times and/or pushing the brake pedal a few times while pushing the start button. Only thing else I can think of right now is a dead car battery.
  21. Try it with your other keyfob or hold your keyfob right next to the start button and try it. If that works, then your key battery is dead.
