  2. Turn off the VDIM so TRAC doesn't bog you down, turn ECT Power on, and go at it letting the car shift for itself.
  3. You can probably find out what you want to know here: http://my.is/forums/go-faster/ These guys discuss their cars and have FI cars anywhere from mild to extreme.
  4. They're links to PDF file attachments. You need Adobe Reader to open them. You can download it here. http://www.download.com/3000-2378-10000062.html
  5. I just opened one of the PDF's for the owners manual and it worked ok. Were you a site member and logged in when you tried? Do you have Adobe Reader 6.0 or higher installed on your PC?
  6. That seems like a good deal. Base car without those options used price is around 30,000 to 32,000
  7. I replaced all my cover fasteners with some I got at NAPA. Haven't broken one since. Just looked around till I found some that fit.
  8. I tested the continuity and there was a wire disconected! thank you, engine light is off! Good deal.
  9. You might find some by searching Youtube.
  10. This is for 2005 but most of the stuff is the same. Free download. http://www.divshare.com/download/374763-3a8
  11. Thanks everyone for the response... Bartkat, do you mean I should jack up the front, turn the heater on, and fill with coolant to see if the gurgling stops? I'll try this out... Yes. The gurgling is probably air in the coolant lines that go through the heater core. People tell me they have cured the problem that way.
  12. Test for wiring continuity. I believe that's the sensor that's under the passenger seat. Usually people take the front seat out to do the wiring that's inside the car. If that doesn't find it, it's possible the universal sensor doesn't work for that location and you should order the OEM from lexusparts.com
  13. The above poster is correct about the gurgling. It's best to jack up the front of the car, turn the heater on full and bring up the coolant level. As for healights, if you need a bulb, there are usually Phillips HID bulbs reasonably priced on Ebay. You need D2R 4300K to match stock.
  14. That's a common problem and the fix was to replace the unit.
  15. Get it replaced. Even though it's covered, it's still there and a new car should not have that sort of flaw.
  16. B)--> QUOTE(JAY B @ Apr 5 2007, 10:57 AM) ← I just got back from the lexus dealership and he said the lights have been rewired for halogen that sucks. Well I cant complain to much I got the car for 7000 and it was a 1 owner car. I have already put headers, cold air intake, hks exhaust. Maybe instaed of the lights I will order a turbo. probably same price lol. Haha. That's the second one I've heard about. I dunno why they did it unless they didn't want to pay big bucks for replacing the bulbs or something.
  17. I don't think so. They should be D2R. Has someone rewired the lights for halogen? I've run across one case where that had been done. Maybe cars from Canada didn't have HID as standard.
  18. HID are only in the low beam, outboard headlights. All IS300's came with HID.
  19. I think people have been known to pull the fuse, but they also lose the ABS feature. Possibly pull the ABS fuse, but I wouldn't recommend it for day to day driving.
  20. Depending on what is done, it's probably gonna cost quite a bit at a dealer. If you call them, they can probably tell you the exact price for what's on the schedule.

  22. Lexus supplies everything. See the PDF attached L_BR002_06.pdf
  23. There are some Lexus dealers that discount parts. Sewell Lexus is pretty reliable. http://www.lexus-parts.com/
  24. What is it that you want to do that the VSC is preventing?
  25. No limits as far as I know. I know of at least one with that many miles that they fixed under the TSB for free.
