if you guys think 300k miles is high, this guy has 550,000 MILES :snoooorrrtttt: on his 89 ls400!!!

It seems, at least anecdotally, that the 1st Gen LS is the most reliable Lexus ever. Perfect build quality, great engineering (the 1UZ-FE V8 is incredibly overbuilt), and not as complex as say, a 2003 LS 430 with all of the gadgets.

There was a '91 LS in our local paper with 260k miles on it for $6500...made me feel good about the 6000 i paid for my car :D

well, i've had my car for about three months now, and i'm already over 6,000 miles. so just estimating that i average about 2500 miles a month, i'd have to drive my car for more than 18 years to catch up to that guy! :o wow, that guy has a ton of miles on his car. hmmm... unless i buy a lexus used, maybe i can catch up to him faster

my dad puts 35000 a year on his car. the farthest hes ever pushed any car is his 1992 Toyota Camry which had 260,000 miles when he sold it (still running fine). my 1995 ES has 184,000
