  1. Here is a topic that I started "The best color for a Lexus" from here you can get some ideas on what color to paint based on what other Lexus owners perfer a Lexus should be painted. B) http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...7&hl=best+color What color is your interior, Tan?
  2. Maybe if you have an alarm with a sensitive shock sensor, that can help some.
  3. Your welcome. You can order free brochures and free owner manuals from there also.
  4. Hey, you got your Land Cruiser!! Post some pics of it. I do it by hand too, it just like putting on lotion on your hands; the cloth just absorbs the product so whats the use of it.
  5. Is it true that 99.9% of the people in the US who buy SUVs never go off-roading?
  6. Go here: www.lexus.com And register, it is going to ask you your car's VIN # type that in and after you are done; it will tell you the color of your car [what Lexus calls it].
  7. Yeah. Black might look good; the only thing I was thinking was that what if they look like as if they are faded emblems!!You know, how the gold gets black.
  8. In the second pic. they look realy nice. They look good, in that they are not over due or make themselves stick out instead of the car.
  9. My friend has a GS so, I was asking about him. I don't know how many projectors are there. The eyes look realy nice. I'll let him know about it though. B)
  10. So, you should replace the brakes before the light comes on, so the sensors wouldn't mess up? One of my friends has a GS and the car was making funny noises when applying the brakes and the mechanic said that the car needed new brakes but the warning light didn't come on, he replaced the brakes and now the car is back to normal. How does the sensors work? He said there weren't any wires or any other thing with and around the brakes!
  11. Try another car here: http://www.cars.com/search/used/cc/standar...ml?aff=national www.autotrader.com The car is ok. It has couple of electronic problems, the speedometer, LCDs are common problems but a bit expensive but thats ok. For the price, the car is NOT ok. It is too expensive. If it was in excellent condition with everything working and EVEN ran good with the AC on. Then it was perfect for the price. Personally, I would stay away from it. Unless you can get it for $4k. Search for some other Lexi in the two websites above. Good luck.
  12. There are just certain colors that gold emblems look good in then there are others that silver looks good in. Plus, if you match the emblems with like stripes around the car and wheel caps then any color of emblem would look good with any color of the car; you just have to coordinate everything.
  13. I have on my friends Acura. I have never put less than 93 octane in my cars.
  14. I know what you guys are talking about. The interior can get preaty hot in the summer. This afternoon I went out and parked my car in the sun for exactly one hour and came back and MAN, the car was an oven. I think it was about 90 degrees outside. And top it all of the dang gon AC wasn't cooling to good neither, damn R-12. BTW: This was in a 92' Acura.
  15. Sorry to hear that. You didn't get the AC problem squared away?
  16. Hey, Hope everyone is enjoying the 4th of July weekend. B) I have been meaning to ask you guys this. Along time ago I asked about it, if the car had a Lexus phone in it before. I have a 1993 LS400 and there is a phone jack in the passenger side and a small square speaker in the driver's sun visor (but don't have the pics of it). As you can see there are 4 holes already in the car; one of the previous owners [2 of them] probably had a stand or something hooked on there. My question is how can I make that usefull to me. Buy a Lexus phone or a phone kit which will hook up to my cell phone or what????? Please bear with me, I don’t know much about car phones and things like that. Thank you.
  17. Good question about the LX because I was thinking of the same thing. It has been along time since Lexus redesigned the exterior, back in 1998. The RX looks awesome and I’m really loving the color. :)
  18. Really 1UZ-FE!!! It is the exact opposite in High Point, NC and I'm only 2-hours away from you. I have a nice idea; how about all of us take pictures of the fireworks on the 4th of July and post them here. Unfortunetly, I can't because my brother has my dig. camera. Happy 4th of July everybody.
  19. Here is a thread about what are the best tires for 1990-1992 LS400: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...howtopic=10646&
  20. There are professionals who restore and repair leather for a leaving. Check your local listings/yellow pages for people who do this.
  21. Was it changed in 1993 from R12 to R-134a? I don't have my LS with me, so what does the 1993 LS400 take R12 or R1-34a?
  22. Hey, Congrats on the Lexus. I have 1993 LS too. For $375 you can get a waaaay better security/wireless remote. Look around and find yourself an aftermarket system. There is no specific aftermarket system for the 1993 LS400 because all the aftermarket security/wireless systems work with any type of car. The reason why you should not get the Lexus keys is because, the remote keys can only work with in 15 feet radius of the car with new batteries and as batteries begain to get old, about a month or two the distance will decrease to about 5-10 feet radius. AND it costs $375 for 2-keys, but realy compared to all of the aftermarket systems the Lexus is worth around $90 or even less. Here is a post about the batteries of the keys; at the end VMF recommends a two way alarm system. If you want to spend $375, spend it on this. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=9131&st=0 www.compustar.org A LOC member has the Hornet 2-way alarm system installed: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...&MID=370&CID=90 OR You can just go simple and get any of these, they can also be found at any other department store: http://www.circuitcity.com/searchresults.j...upDept=null&m=0
