  1. Well, that should not be a problem to find out. Just give any Lexus dealer the VIN number of the car and they can pull up everything done to it by any Lexus dealer. Miles? The prices seem to be great, if the miles are near 100k. http://www.cars.com/search/used/cc/standar...ml?aff=national Good Luck. Hope you find what your looking for.
  2. Is it going to look like this: Here is the original car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=13474
  3. I’m not disagreeing with you but your reason, why??
  4. I'm realy sorry for the late response. If you get the key cut by a lock smith or a dealer that will work. But, not the remote part.
  5. So, these are the #1 perfered color for a Lexus so far from you guys..... A. Black_ 3 B. Silver_ 3 C. Pearl White_ 2 D. Cashmere Beige Metallic_ 2 E. Silver Blue/Green_ 1 F. Dark Green_ 1 G. Black Garnet_ 1
  6. Clovis: You left out the GS series! :whistles: Have you asked your mother of what she prefers?
  7. Well, thats the first GS I have seen with mesh gril yet. But, it looks good and so does the rest of the car.
  8. I think the same way about them. "I'm still undecided on which I like more the 98-00 or the 04." A decision I think about everyday. :D
  9. I've been waiting to see the pics for so long. I can't take the tempetation any longer. :)
  10. Well, I drive total of 100 miles per week. So, I have put a little over 1,400 miles on the car since I bought it in January, 2004. So, 1,500 miles seemed a lot too me. Thats why I asked. Well, now I do. Thanks GUYs.
  11. This should help too. Visit LexusCarCare.com for free detailing advice: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=9798&
  12. What about early change. Is it better or just worthless? Regular: every 3,000 Miles Early: every 1,500 miles
  13. Yeah. You guys are right. I just used water, I didn't knew how to clean them before.
  14. Looks very nice & clean. I like the paint.
  15. Thanks for all the replies guys. Keep'em coming.
  16. Well, do this. Go to the gallery and right click on one of your car's picture. Enlarge it if you want. After you right click on them, on the option bar pick properties. A new window should come up, then copy the URL Address of the picture from the properties. Then come back to this post and do a "New Reply" so you have all the option here. Click on the 'IMG' button, it is located next to the 'http://'. A new window should come up after you hit the 'IMG' button. Paste the URL address in it [the adress that you copies from the gallery.] And hit OK. Hit Add Reply And thats it.
  17. Well, lets start of by this: Is the Remote on button turned to 'on'? It is above the lever of the trunk opener and gas tank cover. Ok. Since it is a Gen. 1 LS you cannot buy another key of ebay or anywhere else and program it to work, they cannot be programmed. You have to buy a whole new ECU [computer] with new keys. You can go to your local Lexus dealer and they can put a new one in. One key: $150 Two Keys: $300-350. And, you can't add more keys later on; since, I mentioned they are not programable. For, that much money. You can buy a very nice aftermarket security system or remote system. So, I think I speak for all of us when I say, don't waste your money buying the Lexus remote keys. Unless, you just want to.
  18. The ones on the car are perfect for the GS in that color. The other wheels are not even that different from the ones that you have on now. I don't know why you would want to purchase them, unless you just like those and feel better with them on.
  19. Well, it all depends. You haven't told us anything about it. First, share those pictures with us; so, we can see the condition. Tell, us the maintance records, what has been replaced and repaired so, we can see if the common problems have been taken care of and if tune ups or other things have been done on time. A lexus dealer can look up the maintance records of the car by using the VIN #. They can tell you where and what has been done by the Lexus dealer. They can also check the car for a little $ and tell you the potential problems and problems that you might face in the future. Pull up carfax on it and see how many owners did it had before and where was it driven. Less the # of owners usually the better it is. Tell us the book value of the car, just as a guide, with the condition of what you think it should be excellent, good, fair, or poor. Private and Retail value at www.kellybluebook.com Test Driving: Test drive it in all conditions, in city and highway. Condition of the car boiles down here. Drive it in speeds of 60-75mph and see if there is any vibration OR see if there is vibration in any speed range. Floor it one time or two and see what it does. Also, see how the transmission reacts. Good Luck
  20. Some more pics: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...t=0entry60258
  21. 1993-1994 are the same thing; there weren't changes in 94' since LS was about to get a new look in 1995. So, basically its 1992 vs. 1993. What's New for 1993: Passenger airbag added. New alloy wheels debut. Brakes and tires are bigger. Tires are 225/60-16 with 16" wheels. Styling is touched up, and interiors receive a host of upgrades. CFC-free air conditioning replaces Freon-based unit. As for the apperance, just look at the cars on ebay; to see the exterior & interior differences or even LOC gallery but in the gallery most of the car's don't have the model year with the pics. Quality: The few things I have listed above for the "What's New for 1993" is the only difference. No difference in the quality or realibity. All the models are solid and well built. You can put earlier models wheels on them. There are always some Lexus OEM wheels on ebay. Good luck.
  22. Thanks, OH Yeah, This is what I did. I cleaned the car (step 1) in the evening; then clayed it (step 2), then I polished it with Meguiar's #7 and left it on [the whole cars paint was faded and it did smear]. Then the next day at 12:00 in the afternoon, I buffed Meguiars Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax over the #7. I did not take out the #7. I wasn't going to take the Carnauba Wax out neither, I was planning for it to dry up for about 24-48 hours so, then I can put another layer of wax on it: Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax - Liquid. But I did not have time with the car, my brother took it to Emory Unv. Atlanta, Ga. :chairshot: So, it has two layers on it now: #7 and the Carnauba Wax. I never took the #7 out; so, I don't know if it is difficult to take out. But it did smear. *I did everything in room temp., in the garage.
  23. This is not a major problem if you or someone else is buying a Gen. 1 LS, those are models 1990-1994. They can be replaced very easily and are talked a lot about here at LOC: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83& Don't let this come in a way of a good deal. ;) About Gen. II not a big problem on those; but there were some occusations where I found them with blacked out Radio LCD. I don't know how much it is to repair any of the LCDs on the Gen. II; it should be the same as Gen. 1's which is around $100-$200 it all depends.
