  1. I still have 2 months until I hit 18. There are three under 18 LS owners in this forum, that I know of. Me, you, and the other one [has two lexi].....you find out!!! I think there are several LS owners under 25 on this forum. I graduated last month. And am going to college in your city, NC State University. Maybe I'll see you some day. Three of my friends have Gen. 1 LS'es and they bought them when they were 17 and 18 years old, this was about 3 years ago. Let's see what other people have to say about it especaily people who live in NC. I hope not. ____________________________________________________________________ 90LS400Lexus: If you call Lexus and give them a VIN# of a Lexus can they tell you what color of the car is? Or certification of ownership is required to do this. If not, find one on ebay that is the color you are looking for, get the VIN of it and call Lexus. Or find a picture of the car from the internet and post it here; then ask, then you can get the correct name of it from someone here.
  2. Interesting story. 'Back in about around 1998 when I was in 6th grade, one of my older brother's friend [high schooler] told me that his words were: "The police officer don't pull over people for speeding too often who are driving a Luxury sedan with a tie or are dressed up, because the officer thinks that he or she is probably late to work.' Before: Now: :whistles: after driving for a while, I haven't seen any Lexus pulled over yet. Either that or its just matter of time :whistles: . Hope it is not my Lexus. :(
  3. Also, if you are a do it yourselfer than you will save even more.
  4. Yeah. If your car has been well maintained over the years the engine and other components will last long but you might ran into suspension and electronic problems. Same for the interior and the paint; if it has been maintained by protecting it the paint will still be glossy and the interior will be new too.
  5. 'You can go back and 'Edit' the post. It says 'EDIT' on the top right of every post made by you, beside where it says "Report Post" and "Quote."
  6. The clanking noise can be the I think it is called the stablizer bar, that is loose or needs to be replaced? I would put both of them for sale and see which one gets me more $ vs. the book value or what it is worth around your area. The ES fuel economy is not so great since it is under powered. If you want to you can sell both of them and come join us in the super luxury field "The LS."
  7. Now they are; back in Jun 15 2004, 01:09 AM when I posted "my ls430: Why don't you store those great pics in our gallery" they weren't. ;)
  8. There are a lot of SC300s for sale under $12k, unfortunately just not around your area. Try to extend your search [the distance]. Sorry. Good Luck. Hope you find what you are looking for. :)
  9. >what do u mean Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was that you should put those pictures of your car in the LOC's gallery. You don't have to. There aren't that many 2004 LS430's in the gallery and your pics were looking real great so.... Sometimes, I just enjoy browsing down the gallery and look at cars and it would be nice to have that 430 in there.
  10. I’m not getting on you because you dislike Lexus. Nobody cares if one does [except for the CEO of Lexus], buying a car depends on your financial status and where you stand at. Lexus is a high end import [matter of fact LS430 is the best today, and I’m not saying this just based on my opinion] if the cost of the car is going to be high=the cost of parts will be high too.
  11. That seemes to be good price if the car is well maintanied. But, you have to consider that in 1998 the car was redesigned which also droppes the value a liittle.
  12. Don't mean to cut the discussion off but did the race occured yet?? :whistles: Just real excited to see the results. ;)
  13. Well, even it is a different year since the last post. I just wanted to respond to this post and also I have a LS not a ES [where this post is at]. I'm a freshman in college as a Pre-Med student majoring in Biology and minor in Genetics, in North Carolina. And became a U.S. citizen 2 months ago or was it last month! Don't remember [have been busy with school work] I bought the Lexus [well my parents did] because I went with Acura first and wanted something else, a Lexus. Because both of the cars are reliable, still have the Acura. But, I had no idea that Lexus is going to introduce me to LOC. B) 'Now I hope I get to live and pass my LS down to my childern'.
  14. Well, you might want to look at these two site that have LSs and Gs with bodykits, by: Mr. Sypher and he can provide you with these bodykits too. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=2366& http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=2332&
  15. Mr. Magic Eraser cleaner might help but like on everything else try it in a very small corner of a seat or something. Because I used it on a Taupe Leather of an Acura Legend and it made some lines of the seats light green or have light green tint in them. I would go to a pro for this because I won't want to mess up my brand new leather. :whistles:
  16. my ls430: Why don't you store those great pics in our gallery. :)
  17. Hey guys, Where can I put it if I decide to put one on...................??? I want to put the "LS 400" emblem on the right side [where you guys are going to put it on the SCes]!!!!!! Look at the link in my signature to 'My garage' to see the pics of my car.
  18. acf: You should be able to sell the LS for $17k. I would say that put it up for $19k, because there aren't that many LSs in NC or at least in my area. Your LS is worth roughly just as much as typical 98 or 99 RX with 80-90k miles or even less.
  19. There are several RXes for sale for around $17-18K in NC with low miles.
  20. There are several LC and LXs here in your area: http://www.cars.com/search/used/cc/standar...ml?aff=national
  21. http://siy.cars.com/beta/index.jhtml;jsess...nal&referer=hdr And here is where to buy them: http://www.cars.com/search/used/cc/standar..._search.jhtml.4 Researh: http://www.cars.com/go/crp/index.jsp?logty...05&modelid=6748 I see that you are in that Mini Van kind of position; but, surely don't want to drive one (I won't neither). Thats why there are a lot more SUVs and competition for them are tough too. Steve (SW03ES) have made very good points about safety, that should be your first piority; some SUVs can flip over very easily (by seeing that one of my relatives ran over on to the grass on the Highway on her CR-V and it flipped over several times; but this can happen to a car too). If you still want to sell the LS, you can find a lot of good SUVs today for $10k. The link I have provided have several RAV-4s and other great SUVs in your area.
  22. Is aftermarket leather good? I don't know much about them. So, can they be as the same or better quality as the stock leather and have the same comfort as the original seat will have?
