  1. isnt there a special light for this? i have a special light for this. ot looks like a car slipping on the road
  2. those HID kits are not legal anymore. i was doiing inspection yesterday and i had to really talk to the guy for him to pass me.
  3. does your company have them for verizon LG VX6000?
  4. i dont think loosing power steering will cause any effect on the color of your exaust gas. blue smoke means your engine is leaking oil and white smoke usually means that the coolant is gettin into your cilinders under certain conditions.
  5. you are welcome. now u will know what to do next time its gonna malfunction
  6. check this one out www.compustar.org. it has everyting together. its the best 2way alarm out there and it includes car starter
  7. yeah but its not like we habe hundreds of pix there. its only around 20 pictures and most of them were submitted by active members of the site.
  8. might be the problem with the power steering ECU. there is a PPS ECU speiciflally put there for that purpose. its located undewr the steering wheel right next to tilt & telesocpic ECU. check the voltate betweent the ECU - and ground connectors - connector is in the upper left corner and ground is in lower left corner if you look at the connector while its plugged in into the ecu. voltage should be between 0.15 and 0.2 V with the engine idling. lift the car and put it in Drive. check the voltage while car running at 60 mph. it should be between 0.04 and 0.16 V. it its not. u have to get urself a new ECU. oh btw check the wire from the ECU to the solenoid and make sure its okey. might be just a wire problem
  9. in the trunk near the spare tire there is like a bunch of those wires tied together. i just forgot what color you have to look for. look for the part where they are all bent because in that area they didnt make that cable long enuff and that is why it broke.
  10. when will the public voting start?
  11. measure the resistance on the solenoid. it should be beween 6 and 11 ohm. after this check the operation. connect battery terminals to the solenoid. when u look at the connector the left one is - and right one is +. check that the solenoid makes clicks sound.. dont appy voltage for more then 30 sec otherwise u will burn it.. if u have to repeat the procedure wait till it cools down so you can touch if with ur hand. if there is no click sound replace the pressure control valve with the solenoid valve.
  12. flush the system its not coz of the cooling but you have air in the system. and air volume is increasing when its getting hot thus making it look like the system is full. so you just flush it completely and fill it with the mix of water and red coolant. make sure you use red coolant.
  13. it should be practically the same. engine block was the same from 90 to 2000 so the location of all the components should not vary by a lot.
  14. SWO i think this is what its all about.:) gettin the appreciation you deserve:) another guy in my dept just got a 94 ls with 213k miles so i think he will be joining us soon.
  15. i dont think it will. i just helps to get your engine fuel consumption and power/torque specs to where they used to be originally due to increased airflow and less turbulence in the airflow.
  16. today i talked to 2 guys from the same company who has 94 and 2000 LS and when we compared our cars they told me that my engine is by far the most quiet one:) 94 one had some major mechanical problems in the past and it cost a lot of $$ to the owner and 2000 is in the same condition as my 96 ls. there also was a 95 mb s500 next to us in the parking lot but despite the difference on the outside the inside room is not much bigger. every1 was impressed by the overall condition of my car and they were really surprised when i told them that i do most of the work myself:) i just had to share this with my fellow LS enthusiats. so do mind me. i'm like a proud parent.. he he. my cat and my car are my babies:)
  17. i'm 25 i have 2 accidents, 2 speeding tickets, 1 stop sign and 4 seatbelts prolly thats y...:)
  18. does your car has an air suspension?
  19. b4 removing the solenoid check if you have air in the fluid, check the fluid level and check if your pump makes any noises when you turn then wheel. if those paramts seems to be ok. disconnect the solenoid, dont remove it yet. if there is no difference then solenoid is dead. if there is, try to remove it and clean it
  20. it looks like a regular 14 v led from radioshack. there was a post b4 crash but now its gone. those bulbs are ez to replace, just remove the panel and remove the button cover and u will see it. manual on how to remove the cover can be found on the car stereo fixing site, i forgot the site name:(
  21. i'm gonna use HKS products when i will get enuff $$. i will change whole Y pipe to get more power and make it lil louder:)
  22. i personally think 20s are too big for LS:) i saw couple in brooklyn and queens and they look kinda ugly. they also didnt drop the car so the car was raised high in the air with those bug tims and low profile tires it looked nasty!
  23. yeah, there are a lot of japanese cars straight from japan with the "incorrect" steering wheel side. :) there are soarers, altezzas, celciors and aristos over there and some of them dont even have the power windows:). i also saw a 1990 ls with cloth interior in allentown PA
  24. hey people you are lucky:) it looks like im paying a lot even in penn.
