  1. nope, no leaks or noises:( none at all:( may b its a pump itself is weared?
  2. i also heard that they usually die around 120k is that true? has any1 heard about it?
  3. may be no fog but they still can get rain:)
  4. WOW it looks like its cheaper for me to drive to altanta and do everything there then do it here in brooklyn. here i think mostly anywhere else u have to pay like 6-8 times more then 170$:)
  5. i was askin this question b4 but no clear response was given. my steering wheel is really hard to turn. and i mean really hard. you have to really apply force to turn it. its not like this all the time but once a day i get this. there are no leaks anywhere and no noises as well. i'm lost. i dont know what to do. i saw a good deal on ebay for a rebuilt steering pump. should i get it? should i change it? what else could it be?
  6. why would u wanna do this? i keep my fog lights yellow. thats why they are called fog lights coz they supposed to be yellow. they really help me when its foggy outside or when its raining or drizzling and there are no ligghts on the road.
  7. i got 2 sets of brake pads from the delaer for 68$ a set and it cost me 60$ to change them. i paid extra coz i wanted my rotors to be surfaced as well. so it came to 300$ twice cheaper! dont go the dealer!!!!
  8. i just made some nice pix on our local airfield. they are in the gallery. check em out.
  9. prolyl in 2003 they made it different, coz i change carthridges with my friends on Rx 300 99 and Gs400 98 easily. and this is strange, because Gs has pioneer, not nakamichi
  10. i got the CD cartridge on ebay for 12 $
  11. i have the same problem, and what i notices is if you let the engine heat up to the normal temperature and then put it into gear you will not have this problem. but if u will put it into D on a cold engine you will have it even when the engine is hot
  12. WOW Danny cool stuff! and in PDF. big as hell prolly. try powerpoint instead of acrobat. or u did it in linux?

    Alarm

the built in alarm is no good anyway. so if you want to install some nice alarm to protect your investment you should get one like they have here at www.compustart.org. best alarm ever. cant live without it now:)
  14. check ebay, they have all colors :) and cheaper:) thats where i get all the bulbs for my car
  15. yes u can, i saw one here in brooklyn, i want em myself! i'm not sure if i iwll go for 20's but at least 18's :)
  16. it seems to cheap to me. even with the usual 20% discount if you have tax id and an account with lexus only the parts would be 160$ for pulleys, 180$ for water pump, 50$ for tensioner and 50-70$ for the belt itself. this comes to 440-460$. which leaves only 200$ for labor. and the labor takes almost a day. seems to cheap. but may be mechanic is your friend:)
  17. make sure your rotors are thick enuff. they have to be like half inch thick. otherwise u need new rotors
  18. you prolly got not OEM parts but some aftermarket stuff. i dont know how long they gonna last. i had bad experience with aftermarket parts. no more!
  19. a person asked me if it will fit the 2000 LS and i';m quite not sure about it. any suggestions?

    Radio

the amp should be there, you just cant see it unless u take the seat out. i dont think it will be contained in the unit. it needs to have couple of crossowers plus bunch outputs and its simply too big to be in the head unit. but once again i might be wrong
  21. i have 96 Ls as well and my advice to you is wait until it heats up. even in a cold weather it takes no more then 5 mins for rpms to go down from 1500(!!!) to regular 700. try to switch to gear on any car at 1500 rpm and u will get the same result. dont abuse ur car. wait! it will be cheaper for you in a long run. because you are killing your transmission. Did you try to change the brake pads and mashine your rotors? dont go to the dealer. go to another show and ask em to change ur brake pads (get original ones) and resurface your rotors. if this will not help only then consider that it is your caliper. and you dont have to buy all 4!. just find out which one and then you can get a rebuilt one from a store. ask VBdenny where he got his.
  22. you can go to www.crutchfield and check what is gonna fit your car. but dont buy from em. too expensive
  23. its all depends on a noise the engine makes but if it increases with Ac on while engine is idling it prolly is the alternator. check the voltage on idle, with a working alternator it should be around 14V. if its around 12 then it is alternator dying. if the whining noise is going from the engine when u vary RPMs from 600 to 1000 then its prolly bearings

i i'm not sure guys about the first Gen I watt power, shoudl be around 2000W. your system is pioneer so you can check somewhere on the net. i found mine on the lexus site. they still have the info for all older models. mine is nakamichi and 260W and yes, it is located under the passenger seat
